I’ve always wondered when people think is the best time to start advertising a movie. A year away from its release? Eight months? Well we have definitely passed both of the aforementioned thresholds with regards to the upcoming installment to the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman. Set to dive into theaters on December 21, 2018 fans are eagerly awaiting any form of a good movie from Warner Brothers. But what’s a little unusual is lack of buzz about the project for a debut that is now less that seven months away. I do my best to stay on top of the…

So I know what you guys are thinking; “dude, don’t you…

Alright guys, I’ve done two pieces on Avengers: Infinity War this week so it’s time to turn my attention back to my favorite troubled developing cinematic universe known as the DCEU. Couple of quick things to bring to your attention on what I feel if done right, could be a big time hit for Warner Brothers… Shazam! Ok, so right now the project is shooting in Toronto and if you do a google search, you’ll probably find a decent amount of cell phone taken photos of the set, maybe even some of Zachary Levi rocking the full costume. No joke,…

Three words… Avengers: Infinity War! I don’t know about you but I’m still coming down from that amazing trailer we got last week. If you’re going through withdrawals, it’s okay, no judgment here. In fact, let’s watch it again! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NWepvH6LnEw If I had the remote that Adam Sandler had in Click, I’d be holding the fast forward button all the way until April 27th. It’s pretty much a given that Avengers: Infinity War will top every box office feat ever established. Guess what? They already have broken one with regards to advanced ticket sales. Reporting from Deadline.com says that the…

I keep forgetting Nicholas Cage still acts. It’s nuts because the guy has been in a whole bunch of movies lately, even Dog Eat Dog which was filmed in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Yes, the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola graced the Forest City with his presence a couple years ago and you know what? If you weren’t on the production staff, you’d never know he was even here. Cage didn’t even do one Nicholas Cage type thing while he was in town. Kind of disappointing. I expected him to be sitting in Slyman’s Tavern eating a corned beef…

First off, congratulations to Roger Deakins!! Dude’s a legendary Cinematographer with fourteen Academy Award nominations and one, I repeat, one win for his work on 2017’s Blade Runner 2049. The film is such a visual juggernaut it’s worth a watch even you don’t get down on science fiction. Deakins saw glory a couple weeks ago adding that golden statue to his already long list of achievements. His repeated snubbing ranks amongst the greatest of “is this the year?” Oscar storylines to date. If it were to be a sexier category say… Best Director, the story would’ve garnered attention like a…

There’s been so much coverage of Black Panther and the Infinity War trailers lately, the Marvel Netflix shows had completely slipped my mind. Honestly I’ve been a little hesitant to get more involved with them because it’s unclear if the likes of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and the Punisher will be pulled from Netflix to find a new home on Disney’s soon to debut streaming service. Let’s hope not! I don’t know about you but I’m a fan of what’s happening on the small screen. Not only are these shows badass, they feed my need for superhero content until…

Isn’t Kristen Wiig a national treasure? I’ve personally wondered how anyone could not like her. Wiig has accomplished so much from her years at Saturday Night Live and breaking out in film, I’m convinced if she wanted to start painting, she’d be great at it. Now the former foul mouthed bridesmaid has set her sights on the DC Extended Universe. On March 9th, TheHollywoodReporter published an article confirming Wiig’s casting as the villain Cheetah in the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel. Director Patty Jenkins also made an announcement on Twitter. Wiig joins our hero and current leader of the DCEU Gal…
