While scrolling through Twitter on March 6th, I came across an article from Screenrant.com regarding a possible casting choice for the upcoming Green Lantern project. And oh yes… it’s an interesting one. First I have to start out by saying this news is NOT confirmed. But definitely worth the discussion. The piece from Screenrant.com is titled Why Tom Cruise As The Green Lantern Makes Sense by Andrew Dyce. A good read for sure. Basically it’s a couple pages making a case for Tom Cruise to play the iconic comic book hero. The premise begins with The Hastag Show where the…

Who doesn’t love the Oscars? On Sunday night, the biggest names in the movie business got dressed in the highest of fashion and hopefully got a little drunk for the 90th Annual Academy Awards. At four hours long, I don’t know how the whole crowd isn’t wasted. Take a tip from Benedict Cumberbatch, bring a flask! But all and all, everything went as best as it possibly could. Jimmy Kimmel was entertaining, there we no major screw ups, and for a year of Hollywood scandals, the ceremony itself seemed to lack its usual controversy. Believe me, that’s a good thing.…

On March 4th, millions of viewers will turn their attention to the 90th Annual Academy Awards. We do it every year, there’s something about the Oscars that holds the public’s interest in a way the Grammys, or the CMT Awards never could. With each ceremony comes snubs, surprises, semi-moving acceptance speeches, Leo crushing it on the red carpet, and of course… the continued debate over who or what should have won. In 2018, things are a little different from when I was a kid. Growing up, summertime was reserved for the blockbuster popcorn superhero and action movies that brought in…

It’s pretty obvious, 2018 is going to be outright owned by the Marvel Machine. We’ve already had Black Panther which was incredible, so good I almost forgot Deadpool 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers Infinity War, and Venom are still on the horizon. It’s easy to get lost in the ocean known as the MCU. Guaranteed each one of the aforementioned projects will make like a billion dollars and have critics lining up around the block to trumpet another year of MCUpremacy. For all of us DC fans, and I hope there are a couple of us left, don’t have…

Alright Marvel, with Black Panther you’re basically just showing off now. How do you do it? Seriously. Black Panther was the eighteenth big screen installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it felt like the first superhero movie ever made. How do they do it? Everybody wants to know, including myself. So what we’re going to discuss throughout the duration of this piece are a…

Marvel Studios… how do you do it? Every single time I even start to believe that the Marvel Machine is running out of gas, I am proven wrong in the best way possible. From the very first time I saw the trailer for Black Panther, I knew it would be great. Chadwick Boseman was the man in Civil War and I was eagerly waiting his next big screen appearance. After leaving the theater on Thursday evening it became abundantly clear that I underestimated exactly how great this film would be. We’re taking some real cinematic triumph type stuff if you…

As we all know, there is a ton of stuff taking place behind the scenes of any film production. Sometimes, the events not captured on camera turn out to be more interesting than the final products themselves. Which is definitely the case with the whole Zack Snyder v Warner Brothers: Dawn Of The Decision stories landing in Twitter feeds around the world for the better part of two years now. Everybody knows, a death in the family forced Snyder to step down from directing the Justice League months before its release. However, former Mashable and Variety journalist, Josh L. Dickey…

An incredible bit of news came from Variety.com on February 8, 2018 regarding the Todd Phillips’ Joker standalone film that is currently in development.
