Some of you may have noticed this a long time ago… Do you remember Mike Myers? Yes, the International Man of Mystery Austin Powers. It’s been so long since I’ve thought about that guy. With the exception of a five minute conversation that sprung during a random holiday viewing of Inglorious Basterds, Mike Myers has been more of a memory in recent years. And yes… Mike Myers was in Inglorious Basterds. He’s the dude who tells Michael Fassbender about Operation Kino while they have drinks from a globe bar. Regardless of his small role in an okay Tarantino movie, Mike…

It’s 2018, sports enthusiasts are just a different type of nerd. On Saturday January 6th an unusual event took place in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Over one thousand people braved beyond freezing temperatures to stand on the street for a parade commemorating the Browns “perfect” 0-16 season. Yes, for those of you who haven’t been following the NFL, I will repeat… we had a parade for a losing football team. #ThatsCleveland Realistically the parade isn’t a joke, granted a sense of humor about the whole thing is preferred, but it represents an opportunity for fans to air out the…

On December 27th shelves in comic book stores across America were stocked with the next chapter of DC’s most recent achievement, Doomsday Clock. Even I am finding myself surprised by exactly how good the start of this run has been and I encourage everyone, including those who think Watchmen should have been left as is, to give Doomsday Clock a shot. Usually I like to keep these pieces as spoiler free as possible but with a new year comes change and I have decided to include some because what’s happening in this comic series is too interesting to go undiscussed.…

Over here at Nerdbot we get the opportunity to write about all kinds of things. For those of you who read our coverage of movies, television, comics, technology, gaming, cosplay, and everything that fills your nerdy soul, we appreciate you!! But today we are here to talk about something that is a personal favorite of mine, music. If you know me, you know I can talk about bands and albums until you pay me to shut up. It’s been an area of the entertainment industry I’ve loved ever since my father bought me a cassette tape of Green Day’s Dookie…

While The Last Jedi is raking in more cash than a small country’s Gross Domestic Product, a rather interesting development is taking place with the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story. As we all know, the Han Solo, solo film has been making headlines ever since directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were dismissed from the project. Disney wasted no time in replacing them with Ron Howard, who is rumored to have substantially re-shot a large portion of what was already done. Slashfilm.com as well as other media outlets reported on December 27th that the first international promo artwork for…

I’m going to be “that guy” when I say that Disney has a bit of a situation on their hands with Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Don’t worry, they’re getting paid but if you want to talk audience response, it’s something to be desired. You might be where I am. The film is good but you’re not trumpeting certain choices made when it comes to story, unnecessary characters, and the botching of what could have been an amazing villain in Supreme Leader Snoke. Doesn’t some of this sound familiar? I noticed as left the theater that I wasn’t as excited…

I saw The Last Jedi, and honestly my head is spinning so much I am incapable of forming a real opinion on the film. Of course some things were great, but man do I have a bunch of questions. It sucked for me because due to life. Luckily my schedule gave me a couple of free hours on Sunday and I finally made it to the theater. Three days in Star Wars time might as well been three years. I did everything in my power to avoid spoilers but through friends and TweetsI still heard opinions I didn’t expect to…

2017 is the year of A24!!! With all the superhero franchises, sequels, and reboots dominating the theaters, it’s nice to take a break and go see a film that contains actual substance. A film which may win Oscars, not for visual effects or costumes but for performances and story. Something to remind us why we go to the movies in the first place and to show us all hope is not lost in Hollywood. The Disaster Artist is exactly that. A real movie, about real people, real experiences, equipped with subject matter to capture the attention of audiences across the…

Comicbook.com reported on December 9th that Walking Dead villain Jeffrey Dean Morgan attended a Walker Stalker Con panel in New Jersey where once again hinted at a desire to return to the DC Extended Universe. “There’s a role in the DC Universe I’ve got my eye on.” It’s no secret JDM has been expressing desire to play Batman. He’s been at it since Batman v Superman came out and with Flashpoint looming in the horizon, it’s a possible as ever. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has really grown on me over the years. I had never heard of him prior to his…
