Now I know what you are thinking… isn’t there a Godzilla universe thing already happening? Yes, you’re 100% correct. Believe me, even the Kaiju monster genre is trying to capitalize on the current cinematic trend of the shared universe. Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures began their vision in 2014 with the release of Godzilla then followed up with Kong: Skull Island three years later. The obvious end game here is to get the two most recognizable city destroyers in history on screen together for the showdown of the century. And that will happen, but not until 2020. There’s a Godzilla…

Still waiting to meet someone who thinks Donald Glover is just okay. Seriously, do you know anybody who can’t stand the thirty-five year old comedian who is currently one of the hottest talents in Hollywood? If so, you probably shouldn’t be friends with them. The man does it all. Whether you prefer his stand up, or his brief run on HBO’s Girls, or Atlanta, his hit FX show, a Donald Glover take over seems to be looming on the horizon. He raps too, and in breaking a long standing tradition of actors/athletes unsuccessfully crossing over to the music industry, Childish…

Jesus Fox what were you thinking? By now I’m sure you know the powers that be over at Fox cancelled what I believe is their best half hour sitcom, Brooklyn 99. Then, per Vox.com, not even twenty four hours later, NBC comes along and picks up the show for another season. Yes the mighty peacock beat out television juggernauts such as TBS, Netflix, even Hulu in a TV rights showdown of epic proportions. It was like LeBron James during free agency. The Hollywood Reporter published an article on May 11 detailing the reasoning behind Fox’s Thursday Afternoon massacre which saw…

So… who else forgot about the new Predator movie? A while back, like 2014, it was announced that none other than Lethal Weapon and Iron Man 3 mastermind Shane Black, would be helming the most recent installment of the franchise. Even after Predator, Predator 2, Aliens v Predator, Aliens v Predator:Requiem, and 2010’s Predators, somebody out there felt another chapter in the saga was long overdue. With remakes being a common practice in Hollywood these days, you could have successfully bet fifty bucks on the infamous invisible infrared hunter making a return to the big screen. Now, thanks to reporting…

When Netflix made the move to start producing their own original content, I wonder if they ever thought Stranger Things would be as big as it is. Seriously, do you know anyone who hates it? I don’t. Whether you watch for the nostalgia, or Steve’s beautifully maintained head of hair, audiences can’t wait to get back to Hawkins, Indiana. No release date has been set for ST3 but the folks at Comingsoon.net were kind enough to report on the official start of production. The article doesn’t offer any rumors or leaked plot twists. However a brief video surfaced online that…

For those of us who grew up in the 90’s, Rick Moranis was as much a part of your life as a snap bracelet. You remember this guy right? Dark Helmet in Spaceballs, the Ghostbusters’ nerdy friend Louis, Wayne Szalinski, ringing any bells? In case you didn’t know, Rick Moranis retired from acting in 1997. Unfortunately his wife passed away six years earlier and the hardships that come with raising children became too much to balance when you’re starring in movies. So Moranis traded the Hollywood life for the family life. Minus a couple voice over jobs, the dude seriously…

Have you seen A Quiet Place? I, of course was late to the party on this one. It happens. But when I finally got to the theater, A Quiet Place turned out to be one of the most original movies in the horror/thriller/suspense genres I have had the pleasure of viewing in quite some time. All the hype, expectations, or whatever you want to call it, were true. And with the film putting close to two hundred forty five million dollars in the pockets of the studio, it’s as certain as a line at Chipotle that audiences will someday see…

Notice anything missing from the new Venom trailer? Don’t get me wrong, there was a good amount of stuff to absorb from the footage but one major element was completely nonexistent… Carnage. You may remember reading articles a few weeks ago claiming that American treasure Woody Harrelson was in talks to play Venom’s second signature adversary. The Independent as well as others covered the story when it broke and right now we are waiting for the confirmation. Personally I think he would be a great casting choice for Cletus Kasady, if you’ve seen War For The Planet Of The Apes,…
