According to a rumor seen on Comicbook.com, one Game of Thrones star was being considered for a trip from Westeros all the way to Gotham City. According to the report, Warner Bros. was interested in Harington for the role should current Batman star Ben Affleck officially exit. The studio had some digital mockups made to see what Harington would like in Batman’s cowl. Whether this was the start or the end of the idea…

https://youtu.be/HGPRpfwcIEc Before we talk about the tired Chosen One trope, I have to say that the new ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ is what happens when the art crew watched too much Revolutionary Girl Utena. Even the post in the featured image looks like this screen shot from the Utena opening sequence. And even down to She-Ra’s new bike shorts, we’ve got some sweet Utena inspiration happening here. Not accusing of copying. Just noting very apparent inspiration. Bike shorts, guys. Perhaps there’s even a little Legend of Korra happening here, but hopefully the writing crew can keep She-Ra a little more composed that Korra…

This is a “Nerd Voices” contributing piece by B.A Walsh. A.X.L. is a mildly entertaining boy and his dog movie that covers familiar ground. It is the same plot we have seen over and over before (E.T., Short-Circuit, and Monster Truck to name a few) and probably will see again once Bumblebee hits the theaters. The movie opens when the title character has apparently run away from home, where home is the high-tech company that has taken on a multimillion dollar military contract to design and build a robotic ‘war dog.’  (No doubt this idea comes from the same…

From a Deadline.com report, it was only appropriate that Billy Nye say a few words before the Governors Award presentation for Star Trek at the Creative Arts Emmys. After being introduced by Hayma Washington, Nye said of Star Trek: “It may have started off as an entertainment series but it changed the world — and I feel that it changed the world for the better.” The monolithic sci-fi franchise, as Nye put it, looked at how takes a look at the universe and beyond in “perfect and imperfect harmony.” He also says that it embraces all categories in tonight’s ceremony. Following a reel of footage featuring…

After pre-ordering the game three years ago, the Spider-Man game on Playstation 4 (and other consoles) is finally in my possession. And while the collective internet is geeking out about how amazing it is, how good it looks, and what storyline and game play options are available for it, we thought we should take a moment to ensure one of the best moments in Marvel/Spider-Man history is properly appreciated. Long time internet dwellers and Spider-Man fans might not be surprised by this information, but believe me, there are non-insane fans who still aren’t aware. You see, back in 1978, Marvel…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3VO4zinUOI Japan continues the art of parody like few others can in the new trailers for ‘cute girls screaming and dying’ anime Zombieland Saga. Starting with an adorable pop idol girl primping in the mirror, the trailer quickly switches gears and gets gross. In short- people are going to die. But wait! It’s going to be really cute when it happens. From Cygames and the team that brought us Yuri on Ice comes a fantasy surrealist anime about characters making gnarly faces just in time for the Halloween season. In a market dominated by gentle slice of life shows, seeing characters screaming with…
