Jinkie! Netflix has just announced the cast for its currently untitled Scooby-Doo live-action series. Bringing forth a new generation of meddling kids to unmask fake ghosts.

The live-action cast will include Mckenna Grace (Regretting You) as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen (The Pitt) as Shaggy Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson (Carousel) as Velma Dinkley, and Maxwell Jenkins (The Bondsman) as Fred Jones.

This upcoming series will show us how it all started with this gaggle of teenage gumshoes. It all starts out with old pals Shaggy and Daphne during their final summer at camp. The duo gets involved with a mystery centering a lost Great Dane puppy. A pup that may have witnessed a supernatural murder.

They soon find the pragmatic and scientific townie Velma, along with a strange but handsome new kid named Freddy. The newly formed crew starts getting pulled into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all their secrets.

The new series is executive produced by Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Adrienne Erickson. Toby Haynes will also serve as an executive producer and direct the premiere episode.

We’ll keep you posted on updates about Netflix’s Scooby-Doo live-action series as the project develops.
