Happy Halloween month! We’re pushing on those spooky traditions with another awesome listicle. But this time, I’m going to prove nostalgia isn’t dead (or that I’m just getting older with no idea about how to talk about something new) by counting down my Top 10 BEST Fear Street books by R.L. You know what the scariest thing about a scary story is? That’s right- your own vivid imagination. Sure, movies have the ability to scare the shit out of us by digging their claws into 2.75 of our senses at the same time. But with a book, it’s as disturbing your own mind allows it to be. We asked our readers for the scary stories that stuck with them the longest,…

Baby merchandise is a booming industry and a complete racket. When a woman/couple is expecting a baby, they’re quickly told by the Babies R Us (may she rest in peace) catalog that their baby will not thrive unless an astronomical amount of garbage is purchased. From sleep sacks to luxury pajamas, special towels, and at least four kinds of bouncers/swings or sleeping baskets, just thinking about all the baby junk out there is making our bank accounts go limp. What a person does or does not need for the benefit of their baby is completely subjective. If you like a…

This is a “Nerd Voices” contributing piece from Nerdbot reader Aaron Russell. Aaron is giving the gift of laughter…usually…on Twitter. He also has a website devoted to his Photoshop hilarity. There’s nothing worse than receiving a bad gift. That’s fact. “It’s the thought that counts” only works when the gifter is a kid or broke. And that moment when you have to look your assailant in the eye and pretend that what they gave you isn’t about to go in the trash? Awkward as hell. By giving terrible presents, not only are you now that person, but you’ve turned the…

Nerdbot would like to thank Tokyo Pop for providing us with a review copy of Disney’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey’  The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey is a original graphic novel and collaboration between Disney and Tokyo Pop. DJ Milky, Ishiyama, Arai, Conner, and Hutchison are credited as the writing/art team behind this beautiful and charming story. With other franchises like Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra having very successful graphic novel spin off worlds (that are still in canon), it’s amazing to see The Nightmare Before Christmas get a chance to expand on their universe. It’s very easily arguable…
