Nerdbot would like to thank Viz Media for the Press Review Tickets to ‘Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie’ The last time I saw Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie (full title being Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Super S: The Nine Sailor Soldiers Unite! Miracle of the Black Dream Hole) was probably back in 1999. I was fourteen years old, watching a grubby B or C grade fansub from a dirty old VHS clamshell that I bought for too much money from a bootleg seller. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine the luxury and privilege of seeing a Sailor Moon movie quietly in the…

This is a Nerdbot “Nerd Voices” contributor post from reader Rachael Brennan. Follow her on Twitter! Everybody remembers the show Friends, right? Set in New York City, the show centered around a group of crazies in their late twenties. Monica was the neurotic one, Ross was the nerd, Chandler was the funny one, Rachel was the stereotypical prom queen, Joey was the dumb one… And Phoebe was the time traveler. Yep, it’s true. Even though they never came right out and said it. It’s crystal clear that Phoebe was very obviously the female equivalent of Bill and Ted. How do I…
Comicbook.com reports that starting with ‘Captain Marvel’, Netflix will no longer be releasing any Marvel Movies. Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the final MCU movies to get their…
Nerdbot would like to thank Viz Media for providing an advance review copy of ‘That Blue Sky Feeling’. ‘That Blue Sky Feeling’ is a brand-new manga series published in August 2018 by Viz Media. It is a collaboration by writer Okura and artist Coma Hashii. The easily digestible story is a coming-of-age high school tale about a chubby, well-meanking, ‘genki’ (you know, happy-go-lucky) transfer student named Noshiro. Because his family moved around so much as a kid and he was always attending new schools, Noshiro knows nothing about romance, crushes, love, or feelings of attraction. But within the first…

Leaks continue to drizzle out of the Lucasfilm base camp, and the latest is that J.J. Abrams and his team are aiming to have the longest film in the franchise with Episode IX. It might be so long, it gets chopped into two movies. We already know that Episode IX will be loaded…

I want to talk about a film. One that I consider to be one of the greatest examples of cinematic awkwardness I’ve had the displeasure of viewing in my entire life. What’s worse is that the smug teen drama, or “gritty” as it fancies itself, had the audacity to pretend it was a Power Rangers movie. I’m talking about Power Rangers 2017.Having a movie titled under one of my favorite franchises, yet have so little to do with the source material reminded me of when Ninja Resurrection was released and it pretended it was a sequel to the amazing animated…

Is cosplay one of the reasons you attend comic conventions? Are you a fan of burlesque and happen to be local to the Los Angeles area? If you answered yes to all three of these questions, then you may want to mark your calendars on August 21st, 2018 for The Hollywood Janue Revue’s “Wonder Women Burlesque” Show. If you are familiar with the term “nerdlesque” and live in Southern California then you may have…
