Variety reports that KISS announced tonight their “End of the Road World Tour” — which, obviously enough, will be their last. While the group stopped short of announcing dates, the title suggests the tour will be on the scale of Elton John’s three-year farewell campaign, which launched earlier this month. “All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years,” the band said in a statement. “This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us…

IGN reports that we’re a step closer to X-Men becoming a part of the MCU, as Disney CEO Bob Iger confirms that, as and when a Disney-Fox merger goes through, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios would take the lead on the longtime Fox franchise. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Iger responded to a question on how Marvel will absorb the X-Men franchise, and if Kevin Feige will oversee it: “I think it only makes sense. I want to be careful here because of what’s been communicated to the Fox folks, but I think they know. It only makes sense for Marvel…

Oof: Men. Manliness. Masculinity. We all know at least one of them. Men, that is. Hell, I’m willing to bet that a good portion of you out there reading this are in fact men. But ultimately, as I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you, we’re all just people. A conglomerate amalgamation of a flesh-bag with complicated layers of experience and emotions that all manage to build up a personality. And most healthy, educated people will reassure you that there is no right or wrong way to be a man, to express your own sex and gender, and how…

Nerdbot would like to thank Viz Media for providing an advance review copy of ‘20th Century Boys’ by Naoki Urasawa.     I think I have to start this review by saying that I have never read a manga as deeply rich and layered as Naoki’s Urasawa’s 20th Century Boys. And this new Perfect Edition from Viz Media is no joke. It’s 400 pages of some of the most unique and incredible artwork I’ve ever seen in my life. A little backstory of the history of 20th Century Boys and the premise itself: Back of book: “Humanity, having faced extinction…

https://twitter.com/Russo_Brothers/status/1042411495072645120 CNET reports that the Russo brothers, directors of Avengers 4, tossed a Where’s Waldo-style challenge onto Instagram and Twitter. “Look hard… ” Joe and Anthony Russo teased in the caption to a black-and-white photo of what appears to be Joe Russo sitting in a chair and looking at his laptop in the middle of an unfinished set. For some of us, that’s no clue at all, but naturally, plenty of devoted fans saw more than that. The general consensus on social media seems to be that there are letters hidden in the photo, but no one could agree on what exactly…

A report from NPR exploded across the internet last night when former Sesame Street writer Mark Saltzman confirmed that he based resident Odd Couple Bert and Ernie on his own relationship with his partner. On Sunday, Queerty published an interview with Mark Saltzman, who worked on the show in the 1980s and 90s, asking him if he thought of Bert and Ernie as a gay couple. “I always felt that without a huge agenda, when I was writing Bert & Ernie, they were,” Saltzman said. “So I don’t think I’d know how else to write them, but as a loving couple.” Saltzman was…

Nerdbot would like to thank the Super Dimension Convention for providing us with press/media access into their show. Psst. Hey. Did you know there was a Macross-exclusive one-day convention annually in Los Angeles, California? Yeah, neither did we. And that really boggled our minds over here at Nerdbot. We scratched our heads and looked at each other in confusion, wondering why none of us at Nerdbot Headquarters had heard of Super Dimension Convention. Granted, yes, there are new conventions showing up all the time, especially in the last few years (our very own Nerdbot-Con included!) However, many of us have been attending expos…
