One of the greatest sci-fi films as well as one of the greatest horror films, Alien will be celebrating its 40th anniversary with a 4K Ultra HD release. Pam Dery and Director Ridley Scott supervised the 4K restoration of the film in 2018. The 4K Ultra HD version will be released April 23, with a special limited edition 4K UHD steelbook available exclusively at Best Buy. Avengers: Endgame is right around the corner and Marvel has been doing a pretty good job of keeping its plot details under wraps. One thing that seems pretty clear, however, is that somehow Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Peter Parker will get de-dusted at some point in the movie as they will be appearing in Spider-Man: Far From Home. South Koren actor Ma Dong-seok is the latest to join the cast of Marvel’s The Eternals. The actor, also known as Don Lee, had his breakout role in the zombie movie Train to Busan (2016). The Eternals will be his debut in an American feature film. The Korea Post reported that Marvel was talking with Ma back in 2017 but that scheduling conflicts forced the actor to decline the offer. Whether the discussions related to The Eternals or some other role in a different film is unknown. Ma Dong-seok will be joining Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani in The Eternals.…

The Hellboy reboot isn’t doing too well with critics and fans. Reviews have been scathing and the box office has been lackluster. The movie premiered in third place behind Shazam! and Little with only a $12 million box office. More zombies will be shambling our way soon! A third TV series set in the Walking Dead universe will be coming to AMC in 2020. The as yet untitled series has a 10-episode first season order. AMC made the announcement at a press conference in New York on April 8. A new animated mouse is on his way to theaters near you. Paramount Animation is developing a Mighty Mouse movie to hop on the current superhero bandwagon. The Terrytoons character was originally named “Super Mouse” as a parody of Superman but was later renamed “Mighty Mouse”. He first appeared in Mouse of Tomorrow in 1942. The films created by Terrytoons from 1942-1961 were televised in The Mighty Mouse Playhouse that aired on Saturday mornings on CBS from 1955-1967. Shazam! had a $159.1 million debut, which considering its $150 million cost (fairly modest for a superhero film) is pretty darn good. It also has a 91% rating on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer and an 89% audience score indicating that it has been a hit with critics and viewers. It seems that Warner Bros has hit some snags in casting other basketball players to star alongside LeBron James in Space Jam 2. The problem? Sneakers. Nike has strong ties with the Space Jam franchise. The original 1996 film was spawned from the “Hare Jordan” commercial featuring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny.
