I was probably 10 or 11 when Pokémon first aired on morning TV. It was at the perfect time when my brother and I would eat breakfast and get ready to go to the neighbors to carpool to school. One of the things that made that time so special was the show. It’s fascinating how something from my childhood has evolved so many times over the years. Now we’ve caught wind of a new series that’s due to come out on Disney +.

Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu is a new stop-motion animated series. Created by Aardman, the legendary British animation studio behind Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, and Shaun the Sheep.
The series is being created in partnership with The Pokémon Company International and will take fans into the Galar Region. It follows Sirfetch’d and Pichu as they embark on a journey to help and protect other Pokémon. The series is set to arrive in 2027, though an official date has not been announced.
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu will debut on Disney XD and stream exclusively on Disney+. This is part of a new global distribution agreement between Disney and The Pokémon Company International. And it’s important to note that Netflix also has a current agreement with The Pokémon Company, and there is no official date that they are losing that license.
