Production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 may start sometime in 2020 according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. This means a possible release in 2021 or more likely in 2022. Production on the movie, which had originally been scheduled for a 2020 release, had been put on hold following the firing of director James Gunn. He later returned to the project, but in the interim had taken on directing DC’s Suicide Squad 2. Nicolas Cage’s revenge thriller A Score to Settle now has a release date: August 2, 2019. The film will be in theaters and On Demand. In the film Cage stars as Frank, a former mob enforcer who has been imprisoned for 22 years for a crime he didn’t commit. When he gets free he has a score to settle with his former mob bosses. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! will be coming to the small screen as a series of 10 hour-long episodes on the Travel Channel. The series will be hosted by actor Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) from Ripley’s Warehouse in Orlando, Florida. The Orlando “Odditorium” is just one of the museums housing Ripley curiosities worldwide. The latest on James Gunn’s Suicide Squad 2 is that David Dastmalchian has been cast to play Polka-Dot Man. Who? That’s right, Dastmalchian will play villain Polka-Dot Man (Abner Krill, also known as Mr. Polka-Dot). Polka-Dot Man was a Gotham City villain and antagonist of Batman and Robin who made his first appearance in Detective Comics #300 in 1962. The Princess Bride may finally be moving forward as a stage musical. The musical will be an adaptation of the 1987 movie directed by Rob Reiner, which was based on the 1973 novel by William Goldman who also wrote the screenplay for the film. The movie went on to become a cult classic with a number of famous quotes. Disney Theatrical Productions announced in March the creative team working on the musical.
