Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson have a new Apple TV+ workplace series “Severance” on the way. The show wonders what would happen if you could completely sever your work life from your personal life. [Editor’s note: Stiller is directing!] “Severance” stars Patricia Arquette, Adam Scott, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken. Employees of the fictional Lumon Industries opt to undergo a “voluntary” severance procedure. Though when is anything at work actually voluntary? The procedure will split their brains so their work memories and personal memories are completely separate. We’re sure…

Paramount Pictures has debuted the trailer for their new adventure romance comedy film “The Lost City.” Who would have thought Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Daniel Radcliffe would be the ones to lead us on a chaotic adventure through the jungle? Oh wait and did we mention there’s more? The one and only Brad Pitt is here to save the day it seems.  It feels like a touch of “Indiana Jones,” a pinch of “Red Notice,” and a bobo version of “Romancing the Stone.” We salute the casting of Radcliffe in another villainous role (we found his performance in “Now…

The cast of “Renfield” just keeps getting better (and slightly more bizarre) as Ben Schwartz has joined the cast. Schwartz is best known for his role as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and Jean-Ralphio Saperstein from “Parks and Recreation.” It sounds like the actor will be playing a mobster in the film. As we’ve previously reported, Nic Cage will be playing Count Dracula. Other Nic, Nicholas Hoult (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Great”) will be playing the titular character of Renfield. Renfield is a devotee of Dracula’s and is under his spell. He is in Dracula’s service in order…

None other than Laurence Fishburne dropped us a holiday gift with a preview of “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.” Though brief, we got a glimpse of a psychedelic color palette, highly stylized action, and of course our titular heroes. The series is based on the Marvel comic that ran from 2015 – 2019. It centers around Lunella Lafayette who was actually named the smartest hero in the entire Marvel Universe. This puts her ahead of geniuses like Tony Stark or Reed Richards. She’s also only thirteen years old! She carries the Inhuman gene. Her powers also allow her to…

Nicolas Cage has delivered a truly wonderful gift to us all with this first look as him playing Nick Cage in “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.” Today Lionsgate has released six glorious stills from the upcoming movie and we have to say we’re even more excited than we were before.  In these first looks Cage seems to be living his best life opposite Pedro Pascal. Pascal plays a Nick Cage superfan (not an acting stretch for most of us) who offers the fictionalized Cage $1 million to appear at his upcoming birthday party. Cage is then recruited by the…

It’s probably rarely sunny in “Welcome to Wrexham,” and that’s okay! Rob McElhenney (“Mythic Quest”) and Ryan Reynolds have debuted another trailer for their upcoming FX series. This time we get some pretty familiar faces as the cast of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” are confronted with their Welsh counterparts. It’s like a Cymry version of “Mirror Mirror.”  The docuseries will follow the Wrexham football club. Both McElhenney and Reynolds bought ownership stakes in the club in February of 2021. Their goal is to document (and hopefully help inspire) the Red Dragons and their surrounding community. They hope to help…

Nicolas Cage is about to have more to chew than scenery as he’s set to play Dracula in the upcoming film “Renfield.” The living legend will take a dip into the world of the supernaturally undead. Nicholas Holt is set to star as Renfield himself. Making this a Nic face off? In the original Bram Stroker novel, R. M. Renfield serves as Count Dracula’s henchman. He believes eating vermin will allow him to absorb their life force. Dracula uses Renfield to carry out some of his terrifying shenanigans. Apparently the new adaptation is being described as an adventure story with…

“Star Trek: Discovery” fans outside of the US can breathe a sigh of relief. The series has struck a deal to make season 4 available internationally. Originally, international distribution was being handled by Netflix. However after season 3, ViacomCBS (which owns the rights to “Star Trek: Discovery”) pulled the show from international broadcast. They didn’t announce a return plan for the series. This understandably united Trek fans across the globe in frustration. Thankfully now people will still be able to follow the hope that is you… we mean the crew of the Discovery. In countries where Paramount+ is available the…

From the get go, Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” is a wild sloppy mess. At best, it is a comically exaggerated Italian telenovela. At its worst, a droll and bloated exaggerated Italian telenovela. We get Lady Gaga doing her best Mario Brothers impression. Any time a film starts with characters presumably meant to be speaking another language (in this case Italian) but actually speaking heavily accented English you know we’re probably in for a chaotic time.  Gaga stars as Patrizia Reggiani, a middle class young woman with dreams of a greater life. She soon meets Maurizio Gucci, played by a…
