The final trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley” has materialized, and it has us somewhat intrigued. The teaser was a mere imagery salad of noiresque carnival imagery. This latest trailer gives us a bit more of a look at the cast and two of our main players.  Based on the novel by William Lindsay Gresham, Bradley Cooper stars as Stanton Carlisle. In this final trailer he’s a self purported true medium. It seems he will get drawn into a web of intrigue by Cate Blanchett’s Lilith Ritter. The novel has already been adapted once for the screen in 1947.…

The new film “Red Notice” professes to be an original, but there’s unfortunately nothing unique about it and star power can’t save it. In spite of featuring three of arguably the biggest movie stars in the world right now- Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot- the movie relies too much on our affection for them as personalities and not enough on bothering to tell a compelling story. “Red Notice” ends up being a pretty much paint by numbers crime caper. Johnson plays John Hartley, an FBI profiler on the case of the world’s top two art thieves. Reynolds plays…

Carole Baskin’s cool cats and kittens will return in “Tiger King 2.” The feline fanatic had filed suit against Netflix for the upcoming release of the sequel docuseries. She and her husband claimed they agreed to the use of their likeness in an “initial documentary motion picture,” which to them would NOT include a follow up. “Tiger King” swept the cultural zeitgeist in mid 2020. Focusing on the “woes” of Joe Exotic, his horrifying big cat zoo, and his near obsessive hatred for Carole Baskin. There were also major implications that Baskin may have had something to do with the…
