In honor of Juneteenth, Pharrell Williams hosted the annual Something in the Water Festival this past weekend. During the event, there was an NAACP panel focusing on the student debt crisis. Zac Efron (“The Greatest Showman”) will be starring in a new film “The Iron Claw.” A drama from A24, the film is based on the lives of pro wrestling’s legendary Von Erich family. It is written and directed by Sean Durkin (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”). We know the film will follow “the story of the Von Erichs, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a great impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day.” The film’s title “The Iron Claw” is even a direct reference to the family. Wrestling mogul Vince McMahon will be voluntarily stepping down as CEO and Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc (WWE). His daughter, Stephanie McMahon, will be taking over in the interim. But Vince will remain the head booker for the company’s on-air product and will keep his creative roles. This decision is due to a current probe into possible misconduct on the part of McMahon. Oreo’s official TikTok and Instagram have announced a new flavor- Neapolitan! That’s right, Oreo will be giving their sandwich cookie spin on the classic tri-flavored treat. The snack will consist of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry layers of cream. 3 layers will certainly be interesting to twist apart. Adobe has announced a pilot program in Canada to test a free, web-based, version of their Photoshop image editing program. Canadian users can sign up for a free Adobe account to access some of the program’s features. A spokesperson for Adobe told CNET that “all editing features are available.” It is also described as “freemium,” which means that some features may require a paid subscription or upgrade later on down the line.
