Adam Chmielewski is the latest Mid-Western transplant to take up residence in the City Of Angels. Aside from contributing to Nerdbot, he’s writing screenplays for film and television. Just like everyone else in Los Angeles.

I think we’re all going to need a couple more days to get over the loss of Stan Lee. We all know his contributions to the world of comics, by now I bet you’ve read God only knows how many online homages and have seen memes that show how a young Stan Lee bears a striking resemblance to Tom Holland. Hashtag mind blown. Just like Jamie Kennedy in Scream 3, Lee left behind one final message.  Only his is to the fans, not about surviving a third serial killer attack.  On November 15th, Vice.com reported that footage of one last…

Rest In Peace, the man, the Marvel, the legend… Stan Lee. Yes, it’s true.  You know who he is, the creator of some of the most iconic characters to ever be drawn on the page of a comic book.  Spider-Man, the Hulk, Fantastic Four, to name a few on a pretty long list of superheroes.  Lee has been in the game for like two of my lifetimes and on November 12th, 2018, he left this world for a better place. I’m sure by now you’ve been bombarded with online listicles, each providing their own “definitive” ranking of every cameo Stan…

Every time I think I’ve discovered all of the benefits of Amazon Prime, Jeff Bezos and company come up with another reason for me not cancel my subscription. What have they done this time? As Screenrant.com reported on November 15th, those who have Amazon Prime will be eligible to see Aquaman, five, yes that’s right, five days before everyone else.  On December 15th at 7:00 pm, select theater chains will hold the special screenings for Prime members.  Two of the three largest chains in America, AMC Theaters and Cinemark are sitting this one out but if you live near a…

Spoiler Alert! If you haven’t seen the new Halloween, be advised this article contains a few. It’s pretty obvious that Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen, and her granddaughter Allyson have never seen Halloween II or 5: The Revenge Of Michael Meyers.  Because if they had, they would know you’re going to have to do way more than burn the hell out of Haddonfield’s most notorious serial killer.  As the remaining members of the Strode family drove away into the night, Michael rose up from the flames and ashers of his sisters former domicile to find himself having a moment of…

The Woosley wildfire currently consuming parts of Southern California is no joke.  I have seen it from about thirty miles away and the sight will remain one of the most beautifully horrifying images to enter my line of sight.  Point Dume in Malibu looks more like Mt. Doom from Lord Of The Rings.  Yes, I’ve been working on that all day. Seriously though, these fires are no laughing matter.  The economic, environmental, and whatever else you can think of impact goes well beyond what you see on television.  People’s lives, memories, completely ruined by the effects of climate change. ConsequenceOfSound.net reported…

You’ll never guess who finally saw the new Halloween movie? Yes… I finally got to see the latest installment of my all time favorite horror franchise.  Still can’t believe it took me this long.  No joke, trying to apply your social media filter to try and avoid any outside influence is one of the hardest things that one can endure, aside from running a marathon.  Believe me, Halloween 2018 has a mountain of good things I can say about it.  If you’re a fan of the series, I see no reason for disappointment.  Even for being a couple weeks since…

Even I forget sometimes that just because we’ve seen the trailer, doesn’t mean the movie is finished. As we inch closer to December 21st, Aquaman headlines will become few and far between. Lord knows us over here at Nerdbot have done some rather extensive coverage of the project ranging from fan theories all the way to a stern admiration of Arthur Curry’s brand spanking new suit. Yes everyone, it’s real and spectacular! Before we all heard to the theater, director James Wan shared via Instagram a “hey we’re done” photo marking the completion of the film. Check it out below!…

Insert “high ground” joke here… No we’re not talking one of the worst lines in the history of Star Wars, but the man who delivered it just got cast in the upcoming DC project, Birds Of Prey. As Deadline.com reported on November 1st, the Scottish Thunder himself Ewan McGregor is in the final stages of contract negotiation to play Black Mask. The Gotham City crime lord made his first comic book appearance in 1985 and will finally make his big screen debut. Personally I believe this is a brilliant move in the choice of character and actor.  McGregor may be who…

The pop-up trend is hot!  Just about everyone from LeBron James, Gorillaz, even Deschutes Brewery has a pop-up bar that travels the country. Just when you are all popped-up out, somebody comes up with the brilliant idea of specifically themed restaurants which provide an appropriate shot of nostalgia while giving you something to chew on, literally.  We’ve seen The Max from Saved By The Bell, Deadpool’s chimichanga stand, and now… Coming To America? You bet, the 1988 comedy starring Eddie Murphy is celebrating its 30th Anniversary and will transform Fat Sal’s in Los Angeles into McDowell’s as Metro.co.uk reported on…

How you ever noticed that sometimes art can be reflective of our society? What I’m taking about is nothing new.  People have asked and answered that question for years. Societal fears have been an endless buffet of cinematic inspiration since they started making movies.  Believe me, not everything is a deep lake of metaphor, but it’s fair to assume what we see on our television sets and on our big screens can often be influenced by the times we live in. I realize you can apply the aforementioned  statement to just about anything.  But as we close out the month…
