CD Projekt Red, the company behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the upcoming CyberPunk 2077 has officially become the second largest gaming company in Europe. You may be asking yourself “well who is number one” and that answer in none other than Ubisoft.
CD Projekt Red is based in Warsaw, Poland with a market value of 8 billion dollars this week. Which is a huge jump from what they were worth only a month ago that being $6.8 billion. Compared to Ubisoft’s France based company valued at $9.6 billion. These numbers do jump a lot on a day to day level which is important to note. The $8 billion for CD Projekt Red is referred to the total value of all company shares of stock. That represented how much the company is worth and should be sold for.
A huge part of this rise is due to the Netflix Series of the Witcher. Because of the show the Witcher 3 sales rose more than 500%. And the hype for Cyberpunk 2077 is only going to help this company thrive more and more. So who knows maybe after Cyberpunk comes out CD Projekt Red might be the gaming king in europe.
