We just needed to take a minute and tell you about this brand-new cover William Shatner just released, because it’s amazing. Seriously- he’s almost dangerously close to actually SINGING this time, and his take on the classic “I Put A Spell On You” is the perfect tune for 2020’s spooky season. The accompanying music video is animated, and adorable. And, this is probably our new favorite Shatner cover. You can watch it here.

Dear “GLOW,” we love you, and you deserved better than what Netflix has given you. You very VERY much should get your fourth and final season, if not a movie, to complete the story of misfits who find each other and become a family. If, like us, you’re upset by the sudden decision by Netflix to cancel the already ordered 4th and final season of “GLOW,” we highly suggest watching this morning’s “AfterGLOW: The Final Bell” live stream with the cast answering questions and talking about the news. You can watch it here. #SaveGLOW.
Just in case you missed it- New York Comic Con (NYCC) 2020 went virtual this year, and that means EVERYONE has the ability to watch the panels, trailers, and various goodies as they’re live streamed. In particular one of the things we were super curious about was STARZ returning series, “American Gods.” Considering just how much Loki-style chaos has come from the show, based on Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name, “American Gods” season 3 could be one for the record books. Perhaps you’ll recall the strange affair of the firing of Orlando Jones, aka Mr. Nancy, and the…
Jeff Goldblum, actor, crooner, delightfully eccentric at times personality that he is- just brought back one of his most iconic character poses. Surprising no one, the next “Jurassic Park” moment to be recreated by Goldblum while on set for “Jurassic World: Dominion” is that scene that launched a thousand memes- shirtless Dr. Ian Malcolm in repose, aka Goldbluming. Jeff, as well as his fellow “Jurassic Park” stars Sam Neill and Laura Dern have been using their positions of influence to encourage US fans of the dino series to register to vote in the upcoming presidential election that may be the…
We are SO READY to go back into the OASIS created by author Ernie Cline in his “Ready Player One” universe with the official sequel novel, “Ready Player Two,” due out next month.Seriously. We cannot WAIT for this.In particular- I’ve been interviewing Cline since his first book tour for RP1, wherein we spoke about how amazing it would be if the story ever got made into a movie, let alone one from freaking Steven Spielberg. And, of course, if he had any plans for additional tales in the universe (spoiler- of COURSE he did). Just today, publisher Penguin Random House…
We cannot BEGIN to explain how excited we are for this particular announcement about yet-another-classic Disneyland ride getting a major live action motion picture- SPACE MOUNTAIN! This news comes from THR’s Friday Heat Vision Blog, always a source of interest on the final day of the week.According to the report, this theatrical release-intended feature film will be written by Joby Harold, who is currently hard at work on another Disney project, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney+ starring Ewan McGregor.Harold is also set to produce with his partner (who also happens to be his wife) Tory Tunnell under their Safehouse…
What the hell is this?? Seriously. This is NOT the look we were expecting for Hulu’s upcoming animated series “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” about the notorious X-Men foe. The official panel is happening today at 5:30pm PST, so we’re expecting a trailer drop at the very least. Patton Oswalt stars as M.O.D.O.K., Melissa Fumero, Ben Schwartz, Aimee Garcia, Beck Bennett, and more. We’re expecting a release date to get dropped during the panel as well. We’ll let you know what we hear.
HBO Max is doing their best to stack their DC Comics offerings, including the long-rumored live-action “Green Lantern” series. An official series order for 10 1-hour episodes was made public today, as well as details of who will be writing and showrunning. Producer Greg Berlanti said: “In what promises to be our biggest DC show ever made, we will be going to space with a Green Lantern television series — but I can’t reveal any more about that just yet.”Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim are co-writing and executive producing, with Grahame-Smith serving as showrunner. Berlanti Productions will produce in association with Warner…
Remember that amazing “Dune” trailer that hit last month, and the pretty spectacular cover of Pink Floyd’s “Eclipse” from Dark Side of the Moon that Hans Zimmer came up with for it?Today, the decorated composer released the full 1:37 version of the track. We’re still sad we won’t be getting “Dune” til 2021, this is a nice thing to get us through the weekend. Shai Hulud.
While we’re still basking in the darkness of Spooky Season, there’s another holiday looming on the horizon. One with a mascot who likes to sit and watch every little thing you do before a large man breaks into your house and leaves you gifts. We’re talking of course of Elf on a Shelf (which you already know we don’t care for because HE’S CREEPY). Just this morning, streaming giant Netflix announced that they’ve entered into a partnership with The Lumistella Company, home to the perennial best seller The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition. Netflix will develop engaging original content…
