“R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2” Will Get an October Release Tubi

Last October, R.L. Stine‘s Pumpkinhead hit the streamer Tubi as part of its “Terror on Tubi” lineup.  And it did so well that they decided to do it all over again with, R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2!

It will be released during, you guessed it, October as a part of “Terror on Tubi.”

Both films are inspired by Steins’ book, The Haunting Hour. The follow-up film will center around Evan, a bullied kid who finds a forbidden spellbook. Which also revives the ancient curse for his town of Redhaven. A curse that causes pumpkin-headed children of previous sacrifices to emerge from the earth in hopes of claiming the town during its Harvest Festival. The only chance the town has to survive rests on a witch who seeks to destroy the book.

R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 will have Jem Garrard return to write and direct. Garrard is also an executive producer, alongside James Mattagne, Joan Waricha, Harvey Kahn, Yvonne Bernard, Dan Bernard, Allen Lewis, and Rama Diallo.

“Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without a good story about kids being trapped inside a pumpkin. I’m so happy that we are going to have another pumpkin head adventure on Tubi,” says Stine.

“Few storytellers have shaped the horror genre for young audiences as profoundly as R.L. Stine, and his work continues to find new life with each generation,” said Adam Lewinson, Tubi chief content officer. “Given the breakout success ofPumpkinhead, we’re going deeper into this mythology and continuing our commitment to fans of young adult horror.”

We’ll keep you posted on updates about R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 as the project develops.
