Westeros fans will soon be able to step into the actual locations where “Game of Thrones” has been filmed, as HBO’s popular fantasy series nears the end of its run. Creative and Confident With A Serious Science Streak; Explore Luciana’s love of SPACE and SCIENCE. A new American Girl doll has arrived and she is rocking her assertive agency right in your face. Luciana is so perfectly modern (and important) that she’s worth taking note of. I write this in a completely serious and non-patronizing voice; Luciana is the coolest girl in the world. She’s creative. She’s confident. She loves science. She’s an astronaut.  And she has a robotic dog. Honestly, the rest of us are just screwed. How can any other toy stack up after this? But it leads me to ask something–…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuSAWao5kUg According to The Wrap, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World has been from its original March release to Feb. 22, 2019. No reason has been given for the bumped up release date, but it could have something to do with blockbusters Shazam! and Hellboy coming out in March. With the February release date, How to Train Your Dragon 3 is left to compete with X-Men: Dark Phoenix and The LEGO Movie 2. The film will follow viking leader Hiccup, who has matured into a full adult. Sadly, the finale in the beautiful trilogy will cap the franchise and very likely be the end of the saga. It’s saddening, because How to Train Your…

Nerdbot would like to thank Tokyo Pop for providing us with a review copy of Undead Messiah by Gin Zarbo. Before I get into the review of the actual book itself, I want to just state something. I think it’s so incredibly amazing that we’ve hit the point (artistically) where non-Japanese artists and writers are allowed the opportunity to create graphic novels that are being recognized as Manga. Gin Zarbo, an artist/writer from Switzerland whose twin sister is also a Manga artist, created Undead Messiah using the traditional right to left art style. This is traditionally employed in Japanese manga because the dialogue is read…

This is a “Nerd Voices” contributor article from Nerdbot reader Jonathan Meisner. You can follow him on Twitter! Halloween is seriously the best, especially as a kid. You get to watch scary movies, dress up in your raddest costumes, and go door to door and get that sweet, sweet candy haul that will last you a solid week, unless your parents dip into your stash behind your back. However, it’s safe to say we’ve all come across a house or two that gave out something we didn’t like, were grossed out by and gave to a younger sibling who…

The Channing Tatum Gambit standalone movie will have a “romantic or sex comedy vibe,” according to a producer. In an interview with IGN, Simon Kinberg, producer on Gambit and director-writer on Dark Phoenix, confirmed the movie will adopt a “romantic comedy” tone due to the nature of Gambit, himself. “When you look at Gambit,” Kinberg said, “he’s a hustler and a womanizer and we just felt like there was an attitude, a swagger to him, that lent itself to romantic comedy.” Kinberg said the studio has taken a similar approach, allowing the film’s main character to dictate tone or genre, with Deadpool and…

Nerdbot would like to thank Snakku for providing us with review box of Japanese treats to taste test! https://youtu.be/qxfYU_OkYqE Like many people who developed a love of Japanese culture (up to and including anime, yes) at a young age, I have always been intrigued by Japanese snacks. While many of my friends grew up with Japanese and Korean crunchy delights in their homes, I wasn’t in on that experience. Ask this Jewish kid about Bamba, Parpar, Bissli, and Mekupelet and it’ll be another story. My first time trying Asian snacks was back in 2001 when I was sixteen and…
