In honor of its 80th anniversary, Gone with the Wind will return to the big screen with special showings on February 28 and March 3, 17, and 18. Showings include a 4-minute intermission. Rami Malek won Best Actor at the Academy Awards for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, but unfortunately, he fell from the stage while carrying his Oscar shortly after Green Book was awarded Best Picture and people began to exit the theater. He was helped to his feet and seated in the front row, then moved backstage for more privacy. Paramedics were called and spent some time with him before he was released. As the premiere of Avengers: Endgame draws near on April 26th it seems unlikely we would see any glimpses of new Fox properties in the MCU, yet if the Disney-20th Century Fox merger closes in March some sources speculate that there could still be time to squeeze in a post-credit teaser at the end of Endgame. I was at our local Regal Cinema recently when I noticed one of the theaters was closed for renovation. I had heard they would be upgrading to recliner seats sometime this year so I thought that was why, but when I asked a manager, I was told it would be a new 4DX theater. So, when work was completed and 4DX showings of Alita: Battle Angel were scheduled I thought I would try it out. Beverley Owen, who played the original Marilyn on the first season of the TV show The Munsters, passed away on February 21 at age 81. Beverley was born Beverley Ogg on May 13, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She moved to New York to pursue acting after graduating from the University of Michigan. Actor Thomas Morgan Woodward, known for appearances on Star Trek, Dallas, and Gunsmoke among others, passed away February 22 at age 94. He was born on September 16, 1925, in Fort Worth, Texas.
