In honor of the Blu-Ray release of Tom Baker’s seventh season on Dr. Who, BBC Studios and Fathom events are hosting a special one-day showing of “Logopolis” on the Big Screen on March 13. “Logopolis” was Tom Baker’s final episode as the fourth Doctor and features his regeneration into fifth Doctor Peter Davison. It also introduces Anthony Ainley as The Master and Janet Fielding as Tegan Jovanka. Jan-Michael Vincent, perhaps best know for his role as Stringfellow Hawke on the TV series Airwolf (1984-1986) passed away on February 10 at the age of 73. Vincent’s first acting job was in The Bandits (1967). He appeared as Link in the Danger Island segments of Hanna Barbera’s The Banana Splits (1968-1969). He had several TV and movie roles including parts in the Disney film The World’s Greatest Athlete (1973), Damnation Alley (1977), based on the Roger Zelazny novel, Hooper (1978) with Burt Reynolds, and Big Wednesday (1978) about surfers. Some photos of Toy Story 4 merchandise give us our best look at Keanu Reeves’ character yet. On February 17, Heidi Wilhelm posted pictures of notebooks from the Scribe website. The notebooks had covers with old and new Toy Story characters. Other new Toy Story 4 characters Forky, Ducky, and Bunny have been seen previously. Ever wonder how long it would take to Zamboni a completely frozen Lake Superior? Probably not. But the folks at U.P. Supply Co did the math. According to data collected by the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Laboratory since 1973, Lake Superior has only frozen completely once on March 8, 1996. Fans of the MonsterVerse who are eagerly awaiting the big showdown between its headlining stars, Godzilla and King Kong, will be happy to hear that the release date of Godzilla vs Kong has been moved earlier in 2020. Originally the film was set to debut on May 22, but now Warner Bros has slated the release for March 13, 2020. The working title for James Bond 25, which will be Daniel Craig’s fifth and final film as 007, has been revealed: Shatterhand. There are no hints about the meaning of the title, although it was used in the Ian Fleming novel You Only Live Twice; Bond’s nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld used the alias Dr. Guntram Shatterhand. However, Christoph Waltz confirmed that he would not return as Blofeld back in 2017. The Disney-Fox deal cleared one of its few remaining hurdles when Brazilian regulators conditionally approved the deal on Wednesday. As previously reported, Brazil’s antitrust regulator CADE had concerns about the combination of Disney’s ESPN and Fox Sports. Disney agreed to sell not only Fox Sports in Brazil but also all the network’s broadcast rights. According to Variety, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is in talks with MGM to star as the titular villain in the new Candyman horror film being produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkey Paw productions in conjunction with Win Rosenfeld and MGM.
