The passing of legendary tv personality Alex Trebek was something we were really hoping to avoid in 2020, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case, and the longtime host of Jeopardy lost his battle with pancreatic cancer earlier this month.
While Trebek did film enough remaining episodes of the gameshow to last until Christmas 2020 before his passing, questions almost immediately arose as to who would be taking his place at the podium.

Some betting sites have odds listed for notable persons, but this particular petition that launched over the weekend has to be one of our favorites.
LeVar Burton, who helped rase a generation of PBS kids with his wonderful 21-season show “Reading Rainbow” would be an excellent choice to step into Jepoardy. At the time of writing this, the petition has over 87,000 signatures, and is growing steadily.
Burton himself shared the petition via Twitter, thanking fans for the support.
So, sign the petition here if you’d like to see “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star LeVar Burton host “Jeopardy.”
