Ryan Reynolds is headed back to Netflix for a wholesome (ish) looking sci-fi romp with “The Adam Project.”

Feast your eyes on the new “Turning Red” Funko Pops! There’s just around a month to go before we can enjoy Pixar’s 25th feature film. While we wait we can prepare to line our shelves with this new batch of Funko Pops. There’s of course a figure of the film’s protagonist Meilin Lee in her human form. In case you missed it, “Turning Red” centers around Lee and her family gift / curse that when she gets over emotional she turns into a giant red panda. You can read more about the film here. As well as see the trailer:…
Looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for “The Orville” season 3. The sci-fi series, which we maintain is actually one of the best “Star Trek” series out there right now, has delayed their third season premiere to later this summer. The series is also moving from Fox to Hulu. In order to hold audiences over at yet another delay, series creator and star Seth MacFarlane released a first look at the opening. He also released a statement via his Twitter thanking fans for their patience. In addition to a new platform the series also has an updated…
It takes a few episodes to get into, but “The Afterparty” on Apple TV+ is a genre showcase like no other. It comes from the brilliant comedy duo of Christopher Miller and Phil Lord who have brought us projects like “The LEGO Movie,” “21 Jump Street,” and “Clone High.” This time the pair put together a whodunit with an all star cast. The cleverness of the show lies in that each episode is done in a different style. Genres range from a romantic comedy, to a “Fast and the Furious”-esque action thriller, to a full on musical. Each genre is…
Looks like Chris Evans may be donning a much more red suit, as he’s set to join Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s holiday film “Red One.” Johnson announced the project in summer 2021, which landed at Amazon Studios. Jake Kasdan, Johnson’s “Jumanji” franchise collaborator, is set to direct the project. “Red One” will be written by Chris Morgan who is best known for his work on the “Fast & Furious” saga. Morgan penned six films in that series, including the Rock centric “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.” Both stars have headlined huge franchises, but this will be their first…
At long last, we get a look at Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s long awaited “Pinocchio” adaptation. The film has been in the making for – well quite frankly we’ve lost track. The project was originally at least announced in 2008. After several years unable to find a solid partner, Netflix salvaged the production in 2017. Del Toro’s take on Carlo Collodi’s will be a stop-motion musical. Mark Gustafson serves as co-diretor. The new clip features Sebastian J. Cricket (Jiminy Cricket is purely from the Disney adaptation) introducing us to the tale. Voiced by Ewan McGregor, Sebastian implies this is a…
We had the Fraggle-tastic opportunity to speak to Mokey and Wembley! Yes, you read that right. We chatted with two of the stars of “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.” Mokey and Wembley were kind enough to spend some time via Doozer tube. They were kind enough to enlighten us about their friendship, work-life balance, and more. By the way if you thought a regular Zoom meeting was challenging…imagine trying to have a chat from Outer Space via Doozer tube! You can read our review of “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock” here. The short version is “Jim Henson would be…
Sounds like director Bong Joon-ho is in talks to direct Robert Pattinson in an adaptation of “Mickey7.” The Academy Award-winning director will take on the sci-fi tale about an expendable clone. The novel which it’s based on is set to come out this year. It sounds a bit like “The Martian” meets “Moon,” and we’re here for it. The novel is by Edward Ashton. Mickey7 (the clone to likely be played by Pattinson) is presumed dead. Therefore a new version is grown (Mickey8). However, it turns out Mickey7 is alive and kicking, and returns to base only to be confronted…
