He ain’t afraid of no ghosts, or time travel… as Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”) is the latest actor to join the “Quantum Leap” reboot pilot. He’ll join Raymond Lee in the project, which picks up 30 years after the original series left off. The reboot has original series creator Don Bellisario on board. The original series was made in the 90s, and followed Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett. He too got trapped in time though does retain his memories. He would temporarily possess the body of someone (or leap into it) and attempt to correct “historical mistakes”. He was guided…

What we thought was an April Fool’s joke is actually going to be Judd Apatow’s next film, “The Bubble.” The director dropped an absurd-looking teaser poster yesterday, and Netflix released a trailer for “Cliff Beats 6: The Battle For Everest,” with a release date of April 1st. Well turns out it was a little more meta of a post than it seemed.  Apatow’s latest film centers around a group of actors stuck inside a pandemic bubble trying to make an action film. Written by Apatow and Pam Brady (“South Park,” “Lady Dynamite”) it looks absolutely absurd. Almost as absurd as…

“Severance” takes an unsettling deep dive into the question of can we really separate work from ‘life’? The new drama from Dan Erickson, directed by Ben Stiller and Aoifle McArdle, is Apple TV+’s latest excellent watch option.  Adam Scott stars as Mark, who has opted to undergo a voluntary surgical procedure known as severance. This means while he’s at work he has no recollection of his “outside” life, and vice versa. It’s a concept that could be tempting to many working people. Not having to bring the baggage of that fight you just had to work. Never having to replay…

Fans of the “Uncharted” games are likely in for disappointment at the box office this weekend. The latest attempt at a video game to movie adaptation falls into the category of “just doesn’t quite capture the magic.” Tom Holland starring as Nathan Drake was a confusing casting decision to say the least. But the pairing of Mark Wahlberg as Victor “Sully” Sullivan with him is even more baffling. We fully acknowledge that we are approaching this from the perspective of someone having played and loved the “Uncharted” series of games from Naughty Dog. We have a distinct and clear picture…

Looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for “The Orville” season 3. The sci-fi series, which we maintain is actually one of the best “Star Trek” series out there right now, has delayed their third season premiere to later this summer. The series is also moving from Fox to Hulu. In order to hold audiences over at yet another delay, series creator and star Seth MacFarlane released a first look at the opening. He also released a statement via his Twitter thanking fans for their patience. In addition to a new platform the series also has an updated…
