Located in the heart of Los Angeles, LACC will be open from…

So… what is going on here?? Source: 20th Century Fox. You may have overlooked a very subtle marketing campaign by the folks over at 20th Century Fox this week for their upcoming continuation of the “X-Men Universe” New Mutants.  Last week, on October 12th 2017, comingsoon.net reported a mysterious banner appearing online which later resulted in the debut of the first trailer for the film. Check it out below!! Alright… one thing I feel we learned from this is Fox has some guts.  I’m actually confused as to whether I sound be upset that the X-Men format I have grown to love (except X3, X-Men Origins:…

Source: All photos by Adam Chmielewski. “I had to see if it was true” is what I said to Nick Meyer as I approached his giant, two story, AT-AT replica standing proud in his front yard. On October 12th, Cleveland.com reported a man from Parma (a suburb south of the city) with a passion for over-the-top Halloween decorations, built a massive Star Wars themed spread for this year’s edition.  Meyer has been known to do this in the past and continues the tradition every fall during the month of October.  As I stood on Leulda Avenue watching Nick interact with…

Source: NASA. In a galaxy not as far away… but with a planet closer than we’d think. Water has been found on our favorite red planet, Mars. Scientists decided to take a look at old data from a NASA spacecraft orbiting Mars, and found what appears to be ice near the equator. Finding water based substances on Mars isn’t all that new. As a matter of fact NASA had discovered water on the big red planet back in 2015. The main thing separating these two is that when it was cold enough the water would freeze into ice. But when it reached…

By now, we’ve all seen the newest The Last Jedi trailer. We’ve all seen some cool moments. We’ve all wondered if Rey and Kylo Ren switch sides. We all want to know just how godawful annoying ARE the Porgs. But I have one huge question yet to be answered… Where the *bleep* is Luke’s lightsaber? See, somehow Maz found Anakin’s lightsaber that was gifted to Luke, despite it falling to seemingly oblivion on Bespin. After that, Luke built his own, green lightsaber. Obviously this could be a mistake, but the hilt is definitely Anakin’s in The Force Awakens, not Luke’s…

Source: Disney. I saw a meme a long time ago that said Fantasy Football was D&D for jocks. And from my observation… truer words have never been spoken. So why not combine sports and nerdery? The folks over at Disney are way ahead of me as on October 9th, during Monday Night Football fans across the country were treated to the second trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.   It’s Incredible! Director Rian Johnson’s installment in the Star Wars Universe looks to be nothing shy of epic.  There appears to be a darker tone similar to Empire and the bad guys are…

One of the strangest things about Stranger Things: The Game (iOS/Android) is that it’s a promotional tie in that’s both awesome AND free. Anyone who knows their video game history will appreciate this breaks with a long standing tradition that tie-ins have to be awful, started way back in the 80s with Atari’s E.T. The developers, Bonus XP Inc, have clearly put a lot of thought into achieving the games primary goal of promoting the show, while also making sure it’s a really fun title to play. Probably the most important and inspired decision they made was to wind back…

The Kaijus are back!! Whether or not you believed Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 “giant robots battling giant monsters” film Pacific Rim deserved another chapter, it’s happening.  On October 6th, comingsoon.net reported that the first trailer for Pacific Rim 2: Uprising has been released. From the looks of it, we have everything you could want in a sequel.  The stakes are higher, the Jaegers are more advanced, and the Kaijus are more ferocious. Though del Toro will not be in the director’s chair this time around, the studio has put Steven S. DeKinght in charge of the second installment.  DeKinght, who comes from mostly a producing/writing background…
