Guys, GUYS, we can’t even with this. Carole Baskin, Big Cat Rescue founder and Joe Exotic foil, better brush up on her fox trot as she’s apparently joining the cast of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” 29th season. We’re not exactly sure why the series doesn’t just hand the crown over to contestant Johnny Weir, as the Olympic skater has several legs up on the competition, as well as Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean (you know, dancing!). Rapper Nelly, Vernon Davis of the NFL, Skai Jackson, and Justina Machado make up half the hopefuls. The rest of the cast for DWTS…
Our excitement for next week’s official “Dune” trailer drop grows every single day. This is an excitement fed in part this week by Empire Magazine dropping exclusive images of the upcoming Denis Villeneuve film, a reimagining of Frank Herbert’s seminal work of science fiction majesty- “Dune.” This morning’s pair of photos covers some pretty important moments and people in the story- namely Paul Atreides’ (Timothée Chalamet) parents, Bene Gesserit Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) and Duke Leto Atredies (Oscar Isaac). While the costumes aren’t as spectacular as we were hoping for (so far), this is one of those moments that speaks…
We’re anxiously awaiting the newest issue of Empire Magazine, as September’s issue is all about Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming “Dune” adaptation. Starring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, the film looks to be everything we’ve ever wanted from a retelling of Frank Herbert’s seminal work of science fiction. In another tease from Empire, we get three new photos from the film: Sure looks like Duncan is fighting The Emperor’s Sardaukar, or House Harkonnen troops? Empire also included a snippet of an interview with Chalamet, talking about the Jordan location serving as the desert planet of Arrakis. “That part of the Wadi Rum is…
Tonight, ABC network is airing Marvel Studios film “Black Panther” without commercial interruption to honor the sudden passing of star Chadwick Boseman. Along with this theatrical presentation, the company also released a tribute video ahead of the airing. The tribute video was also released across social media. Rest in power.
“Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler has written a beautiful letter about the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Chadwick Boseman. The letter was released earlier this morning, and can be read below. “Before sharing my thoughts on the passing of the great Chadwick Boseman, I first offer my condolences to his family who meant so very much to him. To his wife, Simone, especially.I inherited Marvel and the Russo Brothers’ casting choice of T’Challa. It is something that I will forever be grateful for. The first time I saw Chad’s performance as T’Challa, it was in an unfinished cut of CAPTAIN…
We’re still in a state of disbelief and shock after last night’s heartbreaking news about the passing of “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman. If you didn’t see our coverage about it, you can see that here. We updated it throughout the evening as additional Marvel Studios and notable personalities shared their grief with the fans across the world. One that we missed last night came from Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who had this to say about Boseman: “Chadwick’s passing is absolutely devastating. He was our T’Challa, our Black Panther, and our dear friend. Each time he stepped on set,…
We are so heartbroken to report that Chadwick Boseman, star of Marvel Studios “Black Panther,” has lost his battle with colon cancer. This has come as an understandable shock, as the actor had kept his diagnosis (and subsequent treatment) a secret for many years. His family released a statement, saying: “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of…
This is one of those things we saw bubbling this past year….William Shatner, Captain James Tiberius Kirk himself, has been pondering via his always lively Twitter account about the legitimacy and usefulness of the newest branch of the United States of America’s military- Space Force. Not to be confused for the Netflix comedy series of the same name (that actually has a trademark claim that predates the USA’s) starring Steve Carrell and John Malkovich, Space Force leaves many of us wondering what the hell. Shatner, never a man to mix words, decided to take his quandaries all the way to…
