Once upon a time in the dark ages know as the 1950’s, superhero comics were dead. Despite what Marvel hopes you’ll believe, Captain America limped along until 1954. DC’s heroes fell until the big 3 remained. Wonder Woman was on her last leg. Batman was unrecognizable, fighting monsters and aliens. Really, only Superman survived unchanged into the mid to late 50’s. Marvel (Atlas at the time), DC, and others found success with monsters, romance, westerns, aliens… Really everything but superheroes. By the late 50’s, heroes were back but firmly in the sci-if genre. Then in the early 60’s, Marvel made…

If you like sexy men, cheeky cosplayers, and speaking out for a good cause, then we’ve got a treat for you. The Adventure Effect has brought together an Avengers-esque team of male cosplayers as #PlayboyPrinces. These cross-dressing Disnwy princes are here to look good and speak out against bullying. Sexual harassment is sadly too common when you’re in a costume, especially if you’re in a “sexy” or provocative costume. Check out the #PlayboyPrinces PSA here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=oq5aY1UbvQc “Consent is sexy!” And here at Nerdbot, we couldn’t agree more. Anyone remember Spyro, the loveable purple dragon? He’s (almost) back in an HD remake of his original trilogy! Spyro’s most recent appearance was in the Skylanders game, and he hasn’t starred in his own game since The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon way back in ’08. Though his most famous outings were the original 3: Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage, and Year of the Dragon. He’s popped up infrequently on various platforms, never quite reaching the level of a Mario or Halo in notoriety. The original games were fun, though, and were loved by many Millennials Kotaku is…

Who is the mysterious baddie in the new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp? Hannah John-Kamen plays the Ghost, mostly villain and sometimes anti-hero first appearing in Iron Man 219 back in the late 80’s. Ghost was born John Morley, a computer expert and all-around tech nerd. Ghost’s powers sort of varied depending on the writer, but it seems in the movie he is now a she, and will have powers focusing on disappearing… Hence ” Ghost”. Along with this is intangibility and some general stealthiness. Ghost most famously hung out with villains turned heroes turned still-sort-of-bad-guys the Thunderbolts. My…
