The agency’s Deep Space Network has been working on diagnosing and correcting these problems with the 47-year-old craft. Oscar-nominee Eddie Murphy (“Beverly Hills Cop”) is boarding the mothership for a biopic about the legendary music group Parliament-Funkadelic. Bill Condon (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”) will direct for Amazon MGM Studios. Murphy will be bringing the funk and playing the group’s otherworldly frontman, the legendary George Clinton.
