Earlier this month, Hersey’s announced a plant-based version of their trademark Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups would be hitting the market. They are the first vegan Hersey’s product to be sold nationally, and are made from chocolate containing oat milk. These will be followed by a plant-based version of Hershey’s Sea Salt and Almond bar, set to release this month. Current estimates show that at least 54% of the Gen Z population are cutting animal-based products from their diets. The Department of Defense (DOD) has doubled down on its long-running ‘Hack the Pentagon’ program. The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) Directorate for Digital Services (DDS) has launched a website to accompany the longstanding Hack program. The hope is the website will encourage more participation and to provide additional resources for the program.  The “Hack the Pentagon” program launched in 2016, and asks security researchers and “ethical hackers” to test the Pentagon’s cybersecurity. Cameras will start rolling on director David Cronenberg’s new film “The Shrouds” in May in Toronto. The film will star Vincent Cassel (“La Haine”), Diane Kruger (“Inglourious Basterds”), and Guy Pearce (“Memento”). It was originally reported that Léa Seydoux (“Dune Part Two”) would also star in the project. But it seems Kruger has taken over the role, and Seydoux, who starred in Cronenberg’s “Crimes of the Future,” is no longer attached. Film legend Clint Eastwood is starting to close the deal on directing his new film, “Juror #2.” A film that is being internally billed at Warner Bros. Pictures as his last. Eastwood appeared in his first film, the low-budget “Revenge of the Creature” in 1955. But he has been sitting in the director’s chair since 1971’s classic thriller, “Play Misty For Me.” Since then he has directed 35 movies overall, which he often also stars in. Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has clarified some rumors about his upcoming film. To promote his book “Cinema Speculation,” Tarantino did a Q&A with Thierry Fremaux at the Grand Rex theater in Paris. He confirmed the film will indeed be called  “The Movie Critic.” But he denied the film would be about Pauline Kael, a film critic for The New Yorker from 1968 to 1991.  The only things he really clarified about the plot was that the film would be set in 1977. Focus Features has just released the first trailer for Wes Anderson’s (“The French Dispatch”) new film, “Asteroid City.”  Set in the 1950s, a fictional American desert town hosts a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention. The point of the event is to unite students and parents in scholarly competitions. Universal Pictures continues to raid its vault of classic monsters, but this time we are getting a deep cut with a revamped version of “The Mole People.” The remake will be produced by creator of “The Walking Dead” Robert Kirkman, and Dave Alpert of Skybound. The concept to remake the 1956 film came from Christopher Winterbauer (“Wyrm”), who will also write the script. Multiple sources close to HBO’s “The White Lotus” claim season 3 of the hit series will take place in Thailand. The Emmy award-winning anthology series centers on the exploits of various guests and employees at a resort. The first two seasons were shot at Four Seasons Resorts in Hawaii and Italy, respectively. So the going theory is “The White Lotus” season 3 will be shot at one of their four properties in Thailand. These resorts are located in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and the Golden Triangle.
