Hi, I’m Amy. I like long walks in the graveyard, horror movies, comic books, and bringing you the latest in nerd-centric news.

After the successes of Lionsgate’s “Saw” and “Blair Witch” escape rooms and “The Hunger Games” exhibition, the studio will now be adding a Las Vegas-based “John Wick” experience to its arsenal. This new experience is being done in partnership with the immersive entertainment district AREA15. Chad Stahelski and his team at 87Eleven Entertainment are involved in the overall design of the upcoming attraction, with Egan Productions. The John Wick experience will take up 12,000 square feet of space in the AREA15 campus.  “My entire team is thrilled to be working alongside Lionsgate to introduce yet another exciting attraction here in…

With Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” and Reinaldo Marcus Green’s “Bob Marley: One Love” dominating the box office, music-based biopics continue to be a hot commodity. Paramount Pictures, looking to add to the success of “One Love,” is now fast-tracking an untitled Bee Gees biopic. One name is being bounced around to helm, and we’re kind of surprised. Ridley Scott (“Alien”) is in negotiations to direct. This may seem like an odd project for the legendary director, but he has a strong connection to the group. When Scott was just starting out, Bee Gees’ manger Robert Stigwood had him working on the…

It’s hard to think of 1980s entries with more staying power than “He-Man & Masters Of The Universe.” While the franchise has no shortage of toys and small-screen adaptations, it hasn’t been on the big screen since 1987. There has been a lot of interest in a reboot with everyone from John Woo to Aaron and Adam Nee attached to direct. Sadly, every attempt has fizzled out for one reason or another. But that’s where Travis Knight (“Kubo and the Two Strings”) comes in. According to multiple sources, Knight is in final negotiations to direct. This is not a done…

Writer/director David Robert Mitchell (“It Follows”) is teaming up with JJ Abrams‘ company Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Pictures to bring us a currently untitled movie. Despite very little being known about this upcoming film, Ewan McGregor (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) has just signed up to star alongside Anne Hathaway (“The Witches”).  Since the plot is still being kept under wraps the online rumor mill is, of course, hard at work posing theories. The top contender is that this will be a 1980-style dinosaur film. [Once you factor in that Hathway already played a giant Kaiju in 2016’s “Colossal” it seems less…

It looks like another one of Elon Musk’s companies is in hot water. Worker safety officials have fined SpaceX $3,600 after an accident at its Redmond, Washington site led to a “near amputation.” Not only is that fine disturbingly low, but it also seems that the company has a history of safety violations. Last December, after several complaints by employees, the Department of Labor and Industries discovered safety violations at SpaceX’s Washington facility. The report states the site lacked a “thorough safety program,” work rules were poorly communicated, and didn’t have a proper system to “correct violations.” The inspectors reported…
