“Star Wars” (and Baby Yoda) Arrive in “Minecraft” DLC!

In a galaxy far, far away…the force is strong in these pixels? In a surprise announcement, a massive amount of downloadable “Star Wars” content has crash-landed on “Minecraft.” In fact, this is Minecraft’s largest downloadable content mash-up to date. This pack contains content from “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Return of the Jedi,” and “The Mandalorian” TV series.

The DLC is spread across twelve different planet dioramas. It contains a map, skin pack, UI treatment, full bespoke texture set, mobs and item reskins. There’s even a licensed soundtrack! Of course, for many people the most exciting part is the inclusion of Baby Yoda. Even in pixelated form, seeing him sitting in his pod fills our hearts with joy. In total, there are 36 Star Wars character skins to enjoy. They include characters such as RD-D2, C-3PO, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt and more.

If you want a change of scenery, simply use hyperspace travel to make your way to Tattoine, Endor, Hoth, Nevarro, and more! All of the locations available are key areas from either the original trilogy or “The Mandalorian.” Best of all, you can pilot your own awesome space craft. Pilotable vehicles include X-Wings, speeders, the Razor Crest and more. Just don’t try to build your own Death Star and kill us all. We already have enough issues with COVID.

You can check out the promo video for “Star Wars” in “Minecraft” below. Grab the DLC in the Minecraft Marketplace. May the force, and The Child, be with you!
