We are pleased to report that the Marvel Studios Disney+ live action series all about Kamala Khan, aka “Ms. Marvel” is getting closer to beginning filming! Obviously we still don’t know will be playing the title role, but there was some pretty big news today.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, directors of “Bad Boys For Life,” as well as Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (first Pakistani filmmaker to win an Oscar), and Meera Menon (“The Walking Dead,” “Marvel’s The Punisher,” and “Titans“) were all confirmed to be directing episodes of the series.
The Hollywood Reporter broke this news today during their weekly Friday Heat Blog, and we’re pretty excited. This means momentum is building for the series, and that *fingers crossed* hopefully a “Ms. Marvel” casting announcement isn’t too far away.
Earlier this week, we learned that “Orphan Black,” “Perry Mason” star Tatiana Maslany will reportedly be playing Jennifer Walters, aka “She-Hulk“ in the Marvel Studios live-action tv series for Disney+.
We will of course let you know what else we hear about this and other Marvel Studios and Disney+ news.
