Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We are very sad to report the passing of a true legend in the music world. Richard M. Sherman, arguably best known for his decades of compositions for the Walt Disney Company, has passed away. The two-time Oscar winner wrote some of the most iconic pieces of Disney music, along with his brother Robert B. Sherman (who passed away in 2012). Just, you know, a few of the films Sherman had a hand in writing music for: “The Sword in the Stone,” “Mary Poppins,” “Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree,” “The Jungle Book,” “The Aristocats,” and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks.” Together, the Sherman brothers wrote over 200…

Even composer Danny Elfman and costume designer Colleen Atwood are back, too!But of course new faces are joining the fun as well, including “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe. We know a few things about the characters. Ortega will play Astrid Deetz, daughter of Lydia Deetz (Ryder), granddaughter of Delia Deetz (O’Hara). This film apparently picks up decades after the original, with ‘a death in…

Atomic Monster’s own James Wan (“The Conjuring,” “Aquaman”) is looking to reboot something. Not that big of a surprise considering how many of the popular franchises are getting the once-again treatment. But what IS kind of exciting about his particular plan is the direction he wants to go in. Classic tv series “The Munsters” has known it’s fair share of reboot attempts. There was a comedy attempt in 2017, Bryan Fuller’s doomed “Mockingbird Lane” series pilot, and more recently, Rob Zombie’s 2022 film. But this time, the take is going in a “darker” direction. Called “1313,” (the address of the…
