Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We’re still really hopeful that someday, we’ll get an actual Judge Dredd tv series from Rebellion. They even bought a damn studio facility in order to sort of jumpstart the process, and have Netflix onboard with a continuation of Pete Travis’s 2012 “Dredd” film starring Karl Urban. While we’re still not sure what exactly the already-kinda-sorta announced “Mega-City One” show would be about, we do know that Rebellion is still hell-bent on making it happen. On a recent stop by the V2A (hi guys love you!) Emergency Broadcast System live-show, Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley gave a bit of an update…

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting for since Denis Villeneuve announced his vision to reimagine the Frank Herbert science fiction classic “Dune” for Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary. Every time there is an update, we feel our Fremen souls getting a little more excited. According to our friends over at Trailer Track (who, we might add, have the BEST track record around about accurately guessing trailer releases), the very first look at “Dune” will be coming with Warner Bros. re-release of “Inception.” Unfortunately, it looks like only the European markets (which are currently re-opened for in-person theatrical experiences) will get…

We are very much looking forward to the new Netflix series from Ryan Murphy and Evan Romansky about the origin of a truly terrifying character- Nurse Ratched from “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.” Starring Sarah Paulson as the titular character, this morning we got our first look at the series. Netflix invites you to meet the woman before the monster, Mildred Ratched: While speaking with Vanity Fair, Ryan Murphy said of the series:”I feel like Nurse Ratched is sort of a shorthand for barbarism. She became almost like a catchphrase for any sort of institutional abuse of power. What was…

Ok sure, maybe Korn isn’t a band you think of often, but Johnathan Davis and co just released a cover of the late great Charlie Daniels’ tune, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia,” and you’ve got to hear it. Apparently the track was actually recorded last year, for the 2019 release “The Nothing.” But, as we all know, Daniels passed away earlier this month on July 6th. The Korn cover features guest vocalist rapper Yelawolf. All proceeds from this song will benefit the nonprofit organization Awakening Youth, a nonprofit organization that seeks to uplift at-risk youth in the wake of…
