In somewhat sadder news today, veteran Hollywood director Joel Schumacher has unfortunately lost his battle with cancer. The “Batman & Robin” helmer was 80. Schumacher has so many titles to his name both in front of and behind the camera. Things like “The Wiz” film adaptation screenplay in 1978, as well as “Car Wash” the same year.He gained critical acclaim for his third studio picture, “St. Elmo’s Fire,” which he wrote and directed. Lin-Manuel Miranda says he’s currently working on a new animated feature film for Disney! On “Good Morning America” earlier today, the “Hamilton” creator confirmed the project, saying he’s working with the “Zootopia” team, and “Moana” co-writer Jared Bush. “I’m actually writing a new animated musical with Disney Animation,” Miranda said. “I’m collaborating with the Zootopia guys and Jared Bush, who wrote Moana with me. We’re pretty excited to share the news that Netflix’s high fantasy drama series “The Witcher” will return to season 2 filming in August!
