We absolutely still love the Brendan Fraser version of “The Mummy.” What’s not to love? Great jokes, a gorgeous cast, and visual effects that….well, maybe let’s not talk about those. BUT, what about that absolutely beautiful prop of Evie’s, The Book of the Dead?Thankfully cosplayer JediManda (who just completed a pretty great Evie cosplay, we might add) decided to share her experience making this prop in a Youtube tutorial for other budding librarians who want to prove those Bembridge scholars wrong. You can watch JediManda’s Book of the Dead build video on her Youtube channel here. And, maybe pick up…

Yet another thing to add to 2020 Bingo- an asteroid named 2018 VP1 will pass close to Earth around November 2nd (as if Election Day wasn’t gonna be stressful enough, right?). To help some people deal with the possibility of a celestial collision, one Florida broker is now offering asteroid insurance. To be fair though, Mike St. Lawrence of Saint Lawrence Agency in Altamonte Springs really stressed that his policies are only “intended for someone with a sense of humor.”This is the same insurance company that offered a policy against alien abductions during 2019’s “Storm Area 51” thing. Man. What…
We just wanted to take a minute to say one big giant happy birthday to the mainstay of network comedy, “Saturday Night Live.” It first aired on October 11th, 1975 on NBC. Lorne Michaels created the series, which was developed by Dick Ebersol. “SNL” is currently in it’s 50th season. (A 50th celebration is planned for February 2025.) The very first sketch that aired featured Michael O’Donoghue and John Bellushi in the legendary “Wolverines.” Watch that below: Some other notable moments from the episode include: So, happiest of birthdays to American comedy icon series, “Saturday Night Live.” Catch Jason Reitman’s film about the…
Last night’s “Saturday Night Live” episode was….interesting. Host Bill Burr’s monologue was not something we’ll forget anytime soon, and we’re not sure how to nicely say we think it was f**king awful. Offensive for the sake of being offensive, even considering Burr’s normal standup style, and just sort of tone def. That said, the episode did have some truly high points- like Jack White’s last minute stepping in for musical guest country singer Morgan Wallen, who “SNL” cancelled because Wallen was seen partying without a mask (and other things) in the week prior to the episode’s taping; the cold open with…
We just have to share this incredible trailer for the upcoming relaunch of “Animaniacs” on Hulu because it’s amazing. Steven Spielberg, that madman of a thousand properties, is back to produce the series for Hulu, and this new trailer mixes one of his biggest and most beloved hits with the Warner brothers (and sister!). IT’S “JURASSIC PARK” AND WE LOVE IT SO MUCH! Not ONLY do we see Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, but there’s also Dr. Ian Malcolm, that horrible lawyer Donald Gennaro (cleverly attired as a Hulu exec), and Speilberg himself carrying John Hammond’s signature amber-topped…
Are you gonna miss the Mexican Pizza when it leaves the Taco Bell menu forever in November of 2020? You’re not alone- sign the petition!
This amazing book nook is inspired by The Haunted Mansion at the Disneyland Resort and was a collaboration between Cryptic Industries and Matt Maldonado.
We just needed to take a minute and tell you about this brand-new cover William Shatner just released, because it’s amazing. Seriously- he’s almost dangerously close to actually SINGING this time, and his take on the classic “I Put A Spell On You” is the perfect tune for 2020’s spooky season. The accompanying music video is animated, and adorable. And, this is probably our new favorite Shatner cover. You can watch it here.
