One of the big casting announcements during the Disney Investor Day presentation came in the Marvel Studios portion, which we assumed would have some big updates. One of which happened to include Oscar winner Christian Bale, and who exactly he’ll be playing in the upcoming 4th Thor film, “Thor: Love and Thunder.” As shared by Kevin Feige, Bale will be taking on the role of Gorr the God Butcher in the film, directed by “Thor Ragnarok” helmer (and one of our absolute favorites) Taika Waititi.

Not a lot of information about the upcoming “Fantastic Four” whatever it is yet, but ITS HAPPENING, and “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” and the upcoming still-untitled 3rd “Spider-Man” film director John Watts will be at the helm. Start your fan casting lists, guys.
Absolutely every part of the upcoming Disney+ Marvel Studios animated “What If?” series look incredible, amazing, and we can’t wait for it! If you’ll recall, the Marvel Comics “What If” series of funny pages reimagined parts of the universe. Things like what if Peggy Carter, instead of Steve Rogers, ended up as the super soldier, becoming Captain Britain?!? The cast alone is astounding: Paul Rudd as Ant-ManMichael Douglas as Hank PymChadwick Boseman as Black PantherMichael B. Jordan as KillmongerSebastian Stan as Bucky BarnesHayley Atwell as Peggy CarterToby Jones as Arnim ZolaNeal McDonough as Dum Dum DuganKaren Gillan as NebulaSean Gunn…
We are absolutely THRILLED to share this first look at the upcoming Marvel Studios Disney+ live action series “Loki,” starring Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief.Unveiled today during the Marvel Studios portion of the Disney Investor Day presentation, we couldn’t help but giggle at the use of one of our favorite home away from homes, the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, where DragonCon takes place. Owen Wilson looks amazing.
During today’s Disney Investor Day streaming event, Marvel Studios confirmed and announced a TON of stuff. The Marvel Studios portion kicked off with a brand new “WandaVision” trailer: There was an update of sorts for “Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness,” confirming the return of Rachel McAddams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and (obviouusly) Benedict Cumberbatch. Turns out some of those rumors were totally correct, and Xochitl Gomez (“The Baby-Sitters Club”) will be playing America Chavez! Our first look at “The Falon and the Winter Soldier” There was a first look released at “Loki!” First look at the upcoming “Ms. Marvel” series!! A blink-and-you’d-miss-it…
Something we didn’t know we needed- a prequel animated film about everyone’s favorite Space Ranger, Buzz Lightyear! He’ll be voiced this time by “Captain America” star Chris Evans!Think of this as something akin to “Galaxy Quest” in a way, where the character of Buzz Lightyear first introduced in “Toy Story” in action-figure form, was a real space hero from an existing property! Evans REALLY wanted to make sure we understood this is about the origin of the human Buzz Lightyear, not the toy. It’ll be directed by “Finding Dory” co-director Angus MacLane. “Lightyear” is set to hit theaters June 17th,…
We are delighted that for Walt Disney Animation’s 60th animated feature, Lin-Manuel Miranda will be doing the music! The film, called “Encanto,” had a brief clip released during today’s Disney Investor Day presentation.
We are so delighted to share the news that both Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” and Moana from “Moana” are getting their own Disney+ original long-form animated musical series!! Obviously there isn’t a lot of information out there yet about either of these series, but we’ll let you know what we hear about the voice cast.
Hope you’re ready for more “Big Hero 6” favorite Baymax and “Zootopia,” because we’re getting two more animated series on Disney+ picking up where both those films left off! “Baymax The Series” is a “Big Hero 6” spin-off centered on Baymax, which is slated for a 2022 release. “Zootopia+” will have several moving parts. Like Fru Fru, the Tiger Dancers, and Flash the sloth. They will star in reality shows like “The Real Mousewives of Little Rodentia,” and “So You Think You Can Prance.”
We have to say, the news that John Mulaney and Andy Samberg are going to be playing legendary detectives Chip and Dale of the Rescue Rangers is pretty darn awesome. The live-action movie was officially announced today during Disney’s Investor Day streaming event. That’s sort of all we know about this one so far, but we’ll let you know what else we hear about it.
