Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

This just in- we might know who will be penning Kevin Feige’s upcoming “Star Wars” movie, and it’s someone with additional Marvel Studios ties. Michael Waldron, Disney+’s upcoming “Loki” series as well as Marvel Studios sequel film “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness,” will reportedly be penning the untitled “Star Wars” project script for Feige, who will be developing and producing the film. Waldron is an Emmy winner for his work on animated comedy “Rick and Morty” for Adult Swim. He also created the upcoming STARZ wrestling drama “Heels,” which we’re really looking forward to! This story is developing…

We’ve been waiting for YEARS to finally see a movie version of “Spamalot,” the stage musical based on “Monty Python’s Holy Grail,” and it sure seems like it’ll finally happen. While the country literally melted down today, Paramount Pictures quietly picked up the film rights for the feature adaptation of the Tony-winning broadway musical adaptation “Spamalot.” Fox originally had the rights, which ended up in Disney’s lap after the wholesale purchase of Fox and their holdings. This feature film product has a screenplay by Sir Eric Idle, with songs by Idle and John DuPrez. Casey Nicholaw, who choreographed the original…

Remember things like birthday parties and awesome cakes? Remember feeling joy at all? Yeah, it’s certainly something we miss, too. We’re talking a lot about the American version of workplace comedy “The Office” this year, and it’s only day 6. Mostly this comes from the show’s exit from Netflix but appearance on NBC’s streaming service Peacock. It sure seems like NBC used their tentpole series to really drive traffic to the fledgling service, and we can’t blame them. Peacock has deleted scenes, fan episodes, interviews, never-before-seen footage, and tons and tons of behind-the-scenes goodies for “The Office” fans. Of course this has brought up whether or not the show, which is experiencing a huge resurgence in popularity, should have some…

Ok so 2021, despite everything working against it, is actually pulling its weight after only the fifth day. PBS announced earlier today that they were officially cancelling long-running animated series “Caillou.” There was much celebration amongst parents, older siblings, and babysitters. Running since 1997 on PBS and their affiliates, “Caillou” is one of those animated shows you remember from a fever dream. The theme song alone is the stuff of flashback nightmares for anyone with a younger sibling, or who had the unfortunate role of babysitter. Sure, some of the characters and storylines are adorable enough….but…yeah.So long, Caillou and family. It’s….been…

We absolutely love the premise of this series, because who doesn’t love to watch Richard Hammond of “Top Gear” and Tory Belleci of “Mythbusters” do the things they do? Amazon Prime Video just released the first trailer for their upcoming series “The Great Escapists,” which features both Hammond and Belleci living their best “Gillian’s Island” life, but from the point of view of The Professor. Kinda. Inventions, explosions, and general mayhem! Hammond said of the series: “Somebody needs to take hold of Popular Science as a genre and reinvent it for a new age.  And there are only two people…

Sometimes, the world of entertainment journalism is one giant game of telephone. One person reports something with a one-word difference from the source, and suddenly it’s a whole different story. Kinda like the recent kerfuffle about Warner Bros. Pictures planning yet-another “Batman” film, starring previous Dark Knight, Michael Keaton. According to a few outlets, who misread a passage and used it to make up their own news, there was going to be a third Batman on the block. Ben Affleck still counts as the DCEU Batman, especially since he donned the suit again for some of the “Justice League” reshoots…

2020 was a dark time for Marvel Studios fans, the year without a single release. Sure, there were supposed to be, but we all know how that went. There were several notable teases of up-and-coming projects, such as the first of the Disney+ Marvel scripted series, “WandaVision.” This morning the official social media accounts for the show, which will star Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as their “Avengers” characters Wanda Maximoff and Vision, dropped yet another tease, as well as some big news. It appears that each of the confirmed 9 episodes will have a different theme song, written by…

We can all agree that Keanu Reeves is a special kind of magic, right? He has this ability to light up a room, and has an infectious joy that spreads wherever it is he appears. He spoke with the LA Times back in December about the highly anticipated release of CD Projekt Red’s “Cyberpunk 2077” title, and the upcoming blockbuster continuation, “The Matrix 4.” Offering his sage-like advice for how exactly he got through 2020, Reeves is downright optimistic. “Try and respect others. Try and continue to get the most out of life, and find ways to get that in…
