Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

This just in- it would seem troubles aren’t over yet for The CW’s live action “Powerpuff Girls” tv series. Star Chloe Bennett, who was tapped to play Blossom, has reportedly exited the show. You’ll recall the series had already filmed a pilot, which was scrapped. The network did decide to rework it with the same cast, and try again. Bennett reportedly did not reup her contract, due to “scheduling conflicts,” an inside source claims. This story is developing….

Two musical juggernauts have finally collaborated on something, and it’s pretty awesome. Earlier this year, Danny Elfman released his first solo album in 37 years, and isn’t stopping there with new tunes. This morning, Elfman released a very special remix of “True,” with a little help from Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor. “This is the first duet/collaboration I’ve ever done in my life, so to do it with Trent was a real surprise and a treat,” Elfman said in a press release. “He’s always been a big inspiration to me, not to mention he has one of my all-time favorite…

We remember how excited we were when it was confirmed that our favorite cinematic Batman was returning. The one and only Michael Keaton will appear in the upcoming “The Flash” solo film as Bruce Wayne and Dark Knight- Batman. He’s not the only capped crusader showing up in the flashpoint-adjacent film, but, is by far the one we’re looking forward to the most. The very idea of an older Keaton in the cowl brings back up wishes for a live-action “Batman Beyond” film. ANYHOW. Since we know without a doubt we’ll be seeing Keaton in the full rubber suit again,…

Okay okay, so, HERE’S WHY Clancy Brown joining the “John Wick” franchise is REALLY awesome news. #1, he’s Clancy Brown, so you’ll be getting that INCREDIBLE voice and presence. #2, if you’ll recall, “John Wick” director Chad Stahelski has been trying for years to reboot “Highlander,” which Brown co-starred in. We know Henry Cavill has been tapped to lead Stahleski’s adaptation, so…..why NOT bring Brown back into the fold? What if he took on the role the late Sean Connery had? Obviously with some….retooling. Brown JUST tweeted this:  “I have been a fan of Clancy Brown’s since I can remember,”…
