Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

This just in-with no reopening to California’s Disneyland in sight, the House of Mouse is making a very tough choice, and outright cancelling their annual pass system. President of Disneyland Resort Ken Potrock issued the following statement today: “We want to thank our Annual Passholders for their understanding during this closure period. Due to the continued uncertainty of the pandemic and limitations around the reopening of our California theme parks, we will be issuing appropriate refunds for eligible Disneyland Resort Annual Passports and sunsetting the current program.  We are currently developing new membership offerings that will utilize consumer insights to deliver choice, flexibility and value for our biggest fans.”This story is developing.

Kevin Smith just posted a “Clerks III” update, including script pages! While it’s not much, he does give fans a bit of hope for when the third and likely final chapter of the Dante and Randall trilogy might see the light of day. I started writing CLERKS III on December 28th and just finished the 101 page first draft last night! But the writing doesn’t begin when you start tapping the keys: I’ve been stirring this stew in my brain pan for awhile now. So when I sat down to put years of daydreaming into actual words, the typing part…

Following the various and outrageous mis uses of power under Trump’s administration, fans of “Home Alone” have taken it upon themselves to remove the failed businessman from the scene altogether. Culkin responded to the edited video with a…

Every so often we come across an eBay listing so ridiculous that we just have to share it with you. This “vintage” Binaca spray listing is totally one of those times, and we can’t imagine who will actually buy this stupid thing. The breath spray originally hit the market back in 1971. If you’re curious about the highly fascinating world and history of breath fresheners, we highly suggest this piece from Thrillist. ANYHOW- this eBay listing is for one vintage Binaca, wintergreen flavor, still in the package. There is also a “golden” flavor, which we’re not sure what it’s supposed to…

This is one of those rumors, despite the unlikiness, that we REALLY hope is true. Chris Evans, who brought the Marvel Comics character Captain America to live in the Marvel Studios films, may be returning to the role.We really want to emphasize the rumor aspect here, because despite the story coming from Deadline, the return would be the exact opposite of what Evans himself said when he retired the character. We mean, he didn’t outright say no, but, it just seemed unlikely. Especially with the pretty amazing ending Steve Rogers had. Back in November of 2019 during a chat with…

The United States is still in a state of shock following the insurrection that transpired on January 6th, 2021 in Washington, DC at the nation’s Capitol Building. Rioters, who were in fact supporters of the now twice impeached outgoing President Donald Trump laid siege to the building the country’s lawmakers were gathered in. They were carrying signs, confederate flags, nooses, and even symbols of one of the most iconic superheroes from Marvel Comics- Captain America. In light of this, Neal Kirby, son of Captain America’s co-creator Jack Kirby, released a statement about how exactly his father would’ve reacted to the…

Ray Fisher, who played the DC Comics character Cyborg in the Warner Bros. Pictures superhero film “Justice League” says WB has removed him from the upcoming “The Flash” standalone film. In a tweet posted by Fisher, he shared an essay in which he reveals the news. This is just the latest bit of news from the ongoing issues stemming from Joss Whedon’s taking over Zack Snyder’s “Justice League.” There was also the Walter Hamada issue, which is what probably prompted this decision. We’re waiting for a rep from Warner Bros. Pictures and / or DC Films to respond to this.…

We’re actually kind of miffed we didn’t get to see Harry Lennix as Martian Manhunter in “Justice League,” because that casting is awesome. This was one of those casting things that had been rumored during the original theatrical run of the film. According to Lennix himself, his “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” character General Swanwick was actually J’onn J’onzz the entire time! While speaking with Collider, Lennix confirmed not only the casting, but the news his Martian Manhunter was originally included in the Snyder Cut of “Justice League.”It’s a pretty great interview, so check it…
