Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

It’s a burning question I’m sure we’ve all wanted to ask. What does Tim Burton think of the late Joel Schumacher’s choice to put nipples on the Batsuit? Burton brought the capped crusader to cinema in a big way with “Batman” 1989 and “Batman Returns” in 1992 with star Michael Keaton. Schumacher…continued a film franchise with new actors. And, more importantly for our purposes here- a new Batsuit. With nipples. In 2018, Schumacher actually apologized for his bat-choices in “Batman & Robin.” “Look, I apologize,” Schumacher said. “I want to apologize to every fan that was disappointed because I think…

This just in- it sounds like cameras are FINALLY gonna start rolling on Marvel Studios’ “Blade.” Starring two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as the Daywalker, Bassam Tariq will direct from a script by Stacy Osei-Kuffour.According to FTIA (Film and Television Industry Alliance), filming kicks off in New Orleans July 4th. What a perfect city to host a vampire flick. We still really love the Wesley Snipes “Blade” films around here, which you can catch on Netflix. But, we’re also really looking forward to seeing what Ali does with the character. “Blade” currently has a release date of November 13th, 2023.…

We’ve all said “There’s no crying in baseball” at least once or twice. The late great Penny Marshall directed “A League of Their Own” in 1992, and now we’re getting a tv series based on the idea. Amazon Prime Video has been teasing Abbi Jacobson’s (“Broad City”) series for some time, but this morning, we finally got an actual teaser. Jacobson not only wrote the series, but also stars in it. Other cast includes Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Melanie Field, and Nick Offerman as the team’s coach. Think the film version’s Jimmy Dougan (Tom Hanks), but more…Nick Offerman. Don’t get your…

We’re not sure how to take this news. As HUGE fans of AppleTV+’s FUTBALL IS LIFE series “Ted Lasso,” we don’t want to think about it ending. But, when a series has an actual planned final season, that *can* be a boon. This is why we’re torn about Roy F**king Kent himself Brett Goldstein revealing a big spoiler. “It was planned as three,” Goldstein told the Sunday Times. “Spoiler alert — everyone dies.” Obviously, we’re expecting that last part to be a joke. We’re pretty gutted to know the end is looming for Coach Lasso and AC Richmond. Season 3…

It’s been a helluva time Warner Bros. Pictures and their DC Comics films. From disappointing returns of “Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League,” to the highs of “The Batman”- they just can’t seem to dial in the formula. Think back to 2014 when the “Shazam!” live-action film was first announced, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” already attached as Black Adam. Yeah, it’s been that long. Theoretically, we’re gonna be seeing the resulting spinoff film later this year.Johnson himself has been the loudest and most passionate proponent for “Black Adam.” Through delays, reshoots and everything- you just…

But, even those fans were happy to see early teases of things like Morpheus/Dream and his helm. “I cared very much about the physicality and image of…
