It’s a burning question I’m sure we’ve all wanted to ask. What does Tim Burton think of the late Joel Schumacher’s choice to put nipples on the Batsuit? Burton brought the capped crusader to cinema in a big way with “Batman” 1989 and “Batman Returns” in 1992 with star Michael Keaton. Schumacher…continued a film franchise with new actors. And, more importantly for our purposes here- a new Batsuit. With nipples. In 2018, Schumacher actually apologized for his bat-choices in “Batman & Robin.” “Look, I apologize,” Schumacher said. “I want to apologize to every fan that was disappointed because I think…

This just in- it sounds like cameras are FINALLY gonna start rolling on Marvel Studios’ “Blade.” Starring two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as the Daywalker, Bassam Tariq will direct from a script by Stacy Osei-Kuffour.According to FTIA (Film and Television Industry Alliance), filming kicks off in New Orleans July 4th. What a perfect city to host a vampire flick. We still really love the Wesley Snipes “Blade” films around here, which you can catch on Netflix. But, we’re also really looking forward to seeing what Ali does with the character. “Blade” currently has a release date of November 13th, 2023.…
To be fair, we already had a trailer for Netflix’s upcoming animated film, “The Sea Beast.” But Day 2 of Geeked Week brought an intro from star Karl Urban, and a new teaser. Urban stars as Jacob, alongside Zaris-Angel Hator as Maisie. Dan Stevens, Jared Harris, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Jim Carter, and Kathy Burke also star. Netflix describes “The Sea Beast”:”In an era when terrifying beasts roamed the seas, monster hunters were celebrated heroes – and none were more beloved than the great Jacob Holland. But when young Maisie Brumble stows away on his fabled ship, he’s saddled with an unexpected…
We’ve all said “There’s no crying in baseball” at least once or twice. The late great Penny Marshall directed “A League of Their Own” in 1992, and now we’re getting a tv series based on the idea. Amazon Prime Video has been teasing Abbi Jacobson’s (“Broad City”) series for some time, but this morning, we finally got an actual teaser. Jacobson not only wrote the series, but also stars in it. Other cast includes Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Melanie Field, and Nick Offerman as the team’s coach. Think the film version’s Jimmy Dougan (Tom Hanks), but more…Nick Offerman. Don’t get your…
We don’t know what it is about this take on “Predator” that has us so intrigued, but “Prey” just got a full-length trailer. Imagine the notable alien hunter facing off with the Comanche Nation and European colonizers 300 years ago. That’s “Prey.”Dan Trachtenberg (“10 Cloverfield Lane”) directs, and it looks like we’re going to get more strong female leads. The film stars First Nation talent Amber Midthunder (“The Ice Road,” “Roswell, New Mexico”), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (“Sooyii”), Michelle Thrush (“The Journey Home”), and Julian Black Antelope (“Tribal”). “Prey” is set to hit Hulu on August 5th, 2022. Check out the trailer now:
We’re not sure how to take this news. As HUGE fans of AppleTV+’s FUTBALL IS LIFE series “Ted Lasso,” we don’t want to think about it ending. But, when a series has an actual planned final season, that *can* be a boon. This is why we’re torn about Roy F**king Kent himself Brett Goldstein revealing a big spoiler. “It was planned as three,” Goldstein told the Sunday Times. “Spoiler alert — everyone dies.” Obviously, we’re expecting that last part to be a joke. We’re pretty gutted to know the end is looming for Coach Lasso and AC Richmond. Season 3…
It’s been a helluva time Warner Bros. Pictures and their DC Comics films. From disappointing returns of “Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League,” to the highs of “The Batman”- they just can’t seem to dial in the formula. Think back to 2014 when the “Shazam!” live-action film was first announced, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” already attached as Black Adam. Yeah, it’s been that long. Theoretically, we’re gonna be seeing the resulting spinoff film later this year.Johnson himself has been the loudest and most passionate proponent for “Black Adam.” Through delays, reshoots and everything- you just…
Tell the entire vampire gang- we’re getting two more seasons of FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows!” Chances are the fan response to yesterday’s season 4 trailer reveal helped prompt this announcement. Our favorite part? The photo FX chose to use for the season 5 and 6 news. Same Nandor, same. Season 4 of “What We Do in the Shadows” hits July 12th, 2022.
Hope you’re ready to FINALLY see the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming live-action adaptation of “The Sandman!” We’re expecting it to release during day 1 of Geeked Week, which kicked off today. The panel was hosted by Felicia Day. Last night, Neil Gaiman himself teased what fans are likely to see. Needless to say, fans have been very vocal about this adaptation; most have been positive, but others were pretty unhappy about casting choices. But, even those fans were happy to see early teases of things like Morpheus/Dream and his helm. “I cared very much about the physicality and image of…
