Spoiler: These are questions for “girl” cartoons. Enjoy! As kids, we often easily accept the story we’re given, as long as it’s easy to understand and simple to digest. And no, the dirty little secret isn’t that people actually saw the movie, cut it out. Back when Justice League, the assembled team of (2/6) teenagers with attitude sequel to Batman V. Superman  dropped for sale, rental, digital, tangible, and wherever else DC/Warner Bros. could convince people to “Please, please, please, just watch our movie” I decided to throw them a bone/do them a solid and watch the flick. I mean, after the roaring (surprise?) success of Wonder Woman and following the embarrassment of a film that was Batman V. Superman and all of its Marthas, audiences weren’t quite sure what to expect. Thus, I watched the film with a…

This is a “Nerd Voices” contributor post from Michael Casey. He has written a novel that rips off Douglas Adams style. You can get it FREE for a limited time only, unless you’re a Time Lord, via this link. If you’ve watched the Netflix series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, which was very loosely based on Douglas Adam’s novel of the same name, you probably noticed that the titular character is reminiscent of a certain time traveling doctor. It probably all started with Noh. Derived from the Sino-Japanese word for “skill” or “talent”, Noh is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th century. Noh is often based on tales from traditional literature with a supernatural being transformed into human form as a hero narrating a story. Noh integrates masks, costumes and various props in a dance-based performance. Related to mimes in some aspects, emotions are primarily conveyed by stylized conventional gestures while the iconic masks represent the roles such as ghosts, women, children, and the elderly. Written in ancient Japanese language, the text vividly describes the ordinary people…

The decision came following a meeting between Gunn and studio chairman Alan Horn. Gunn was let go from the project when dozens of Gunn’s tweets (from about ten years ago) resurfaced on Twitter. The alleged joke tweets (about pedophilia and rape) were dug out of the Internet ash pile by alt-right agitators. The studio acted quickly to remove Gunn…

As first reported by Deadline.com Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem, due out this fall, allows players to collect their favorite characters, build personalized Toon Towns, and battle it out with animated neighbors in prank-filled combat. This is a “Nerd Voices” contributor post from Rachael Brennan. Follow her on Twitter! Everyone knows that Gaston from Beauty and the Beast was a total douchebag. Aggressive, demanding, and manipulative, he is basically what Martin Shkreli would be like if he ate five dozen eggs every morning. So why does everyone in this tiny village love Gaston despite his obvious horribleness? And why was the entire village willing to follow him to the castle to kill a beast they had only known existed for a few minutes? Because, as far as everyone in the village is concerned, Gaston is…
