James Wan’s new hyped up horror flick “Malignant” has finally hit theaters and HBO Max! I’m sure you, like everyone else including myself, were positively dying to see this film (pun intended). Wan himself went on and on in interviews and in the most recent trailer, about how this one was going to be different. That he had changed his horror formula. But, did he? The Good “Malignant” is very original. I’m sure we can all agree that Hollywood has been lacking in the originality department for quite some time. In a time where it seems like every film is…

Ten years ago, the anime gods blessed us with “Madoka Magica,” and it was good. Really, really good. On the surface, “Madoka Magica” seemed to be just like any other magical girl series. Cute and filled with messages about the power of love and friendship. But it didn’t take long for the show to unveil its true nature. This was a game changer. This show was DARK. And people loved it! The show was so popular, it went on to spawn a manga series, movies, merch, and a mobile game series. Cue “Magia Record.” “Magia Record” started out as a…

Director James Wan (“Saw,” “The Conjuring”) is clearly taking inspiration from the Italian horrors of the 70s, and we are here for it! The trailer shows main character Madison, watching home videos of her childhood with her mother, and discussing an imaginary friend named Gabriel. Wan then comes in with commentary about switching up the horror formula. We then see Madison, terrified in her bed as a figure appears behind her. Is this Gabriel? We also get a glimpse of other terrifying scenes before the title flashes across the screen, in all its Giallo-style glory. Check out the new trailer…

And you’re right, it is. But you can’t deny that this movie has some good fall vibes to go along with those weird Nicholas Cage vibes. “Color Out of Space” is a sci-fi/fantasy/horror flick based on the story of the same name by H. P. Lovecraft, about a family whose…

NBC streaming service Peacock’s upcoming adaptation of the popular young adult “Vampire Academy” series of novels finally has its main cast, and we’re pretty stoked! The (sure to be hit) series is being created by Marguerite MacIntyre and Julie Plec of “Vampire Diaries” fame! Fresh face Sisi Stringer will be starring as half-Moroi half-human protagonist Rose Hathaway. You might recognize Stringer as Mileena from “Mortal Kombat” (2021). Sisi Stringer in Mortal Kombat as Mileena Daniela Nieves will play Rose’s best friend, Lissa Dragomir, who is vampire royalty. Newcomer Kieron Moore will play Dimitri Belikov, a vampire guardian of sorts. André…

Easing into autumn means three things: pumpkin spice flavored everything, kids go back to school, and most importantly, the return of “American Horror Story!” And this year, we needed AHS more than ever. We won’t lie, it did seem like “American Horror Story” had lost its footing for a bit there with “Apocalypse” and “1984”, but it seems as if show runners Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are back on “the Muse” (wink) with “Double Feature,” because this season is shaping up to be fantastic. Frances Conroy and Evan Peters as Belle Noir and Austin Sommers Speaking of fantastic, the…
