Original Pinhead performer Doug Bradley, who brought the Hellpriest to life in Clive Barker’s “Hellraiser,” made an appearance at Silver Scream Con in Massachusetts over the weekend. The horror icon spoke about David Bruckner‘s upcoming “Hellraiser” reimagining, which features Jamie Clayton stepping into the role of Pinhead.  “It seemed like [a female Pinhead] was coming. Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase have joined the cast of “Zombie Town,” a teen mystery romance adapted from the R.L. Stine book of the same name. The book is about small-town 12-year-olds Mike and Karen. On a night they go to see a film called “Zombie Town,” all of the sudden the title characters leap off of the screen and chase them through the theater. Disney+ is in early development on a new live-action origin series about “King Kong.” This serialized drama will explore Kong’s origins as well as his mysterious home on Skull Island. Disney+’s “King Kong” will be based on the original 1933 film written by Merian C. Cooper, and the new novelizations by artist Joe DeVito that were produced alongside Cooper’s estate. It has been 13 years since horror icon Jason Voorhees has been on the big screen. But that hiatus may be coming to an end. “Friday the 13th”s original director Sean Cunningham has teased a possible return in 2023. The announcement came via an update to Cunningham’s Cameo bio, which that reads: “Sean S. Cunningham directed and produced the seminal horror film Friday the 13th, creating the iconic villain Jason Voorhees. Snoop Dogg has teamed up with R&B artist October London, and Claude Brooks creator of “Hip Hop Harry” to make a new animated children’s show “Doggyland – Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes.” The Doggfather will be voicing the titular character Bow Wizzle, who serves as a mentor to the other characters. “Birds of Prey” director Cathy Yan will executive produce and direct a live-action adaptation of Yasutaka Tsutsui’s novel “Paprika.” This new series is a partnership between Amazon Studios and Hivemind, though Amazon hasn’t officially confirmed the project. The 1993 novel is considered to be Tsutsui’s masterpiece.  “Paprika” revolves around the Institute for Psychiatric Research, which has developed a device to invade people’s dreams.
