“Desierto” director Jonás Cuarón has officially signed on to Sony Pictures upcoming film, “El Muerto.” A film adaptation of the Marvel Comics title of the same name, Cuarón will work alongside Grammy Award-winning recording artist Bad Bunny (Benito A Martínez Ocasio). Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (“Blue Beetle”) is attached to write the script. This will be the first Latino character to lead a Marvel Comics-based film, helping break down yet another barrier to more diversity in comic book movies. On October 21st, 2021 on the set of the film “Rust,” actor Alec Baldwin discharged a Colt .45 prop revolver. Assistant director David Halls had assured Baldwin, who is also a producer on the film, the weapon was “cold.” Unfortunately, this was not the case, and the bullet struck and killed Halyna Hutchins, cinematographer. The shot also hit director Joel Souza, seriously injuring him. Ali Standish’s yet-to-be-released book series “The Improbable Tales Of Baskerville Hall” is being adapted into a series by Imagine Kids + Family. The Original Misfits have announced they will play a New Year’s Eve concert in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, and also feature fellow iconic punk bands Tiger Army and Circle Jerks. The Misfits’ line-up will consist of original front man Glenn Danzig, and original bassist Jerry Only. They will be playing with Only’s brother/the band’s 3rd guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, with Slayer’s Dave Lombardo on drums.  This will be the 3rd and final show of the band’s 2022 reunion tour. Reality star Kim Kardashian will have to pay $1.26 million to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This is over charges that she failed to disclose she was paid to promote a crypto asset on her Instagram feed. “Are you guys into crypto? This is not financial advice but sharing what my friends told me about the ethereum max token,” The Instagram post from June of 2021 reads.
