If you were into mall culture in the early 2000s, you probably remember Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, and Volcom. Unfortunately, the chains’ parent company, Liberated Brands, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. As a result, more than 100 locations across the US will be shutting down.  The company has “worked tirelessly over the last year to propel these iconic brands forward, but a volatile global economy, consumer spending changes amid a rising cost of living and inflationary pressures have all taken a heavy toll,” Liberated Brands said in a statement. On March 6th, 2024 entertainment company Rooster Teeth announced it would shut its doors after 21 years of creating content. The closure was revealed after Warner Bros. Discovery made multiple attempts to sell the “unprofitable” division. NASA is seeking proposals for a public or private partner in the US to advance the Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) rover mission. The rover’s instruments are designed to search for ice on he lunar surface and collect science data. We still have a month before the new series “Daredevil: Born Again” hits Disney+.
