Sony’s “Madame Web” starring Dakota Johnson, tells the story of Cassandra Webb, a paramedic who gains the ability to see the future after a near-death experience. This newfound power leads her to a group of young women played by Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor who are being hunted by an evil explorer.  Set in Sony’s Spider-Verse the film is one of the biggest flops in comic book movie history. Do you want to know the secret to wealth? Go into business, buy up companies, and just never pay for them or your employees. At least that is the model Elon Musk seems to be running off. The owner of X, formally Twitter, is already being sued by several of the company’s former employees, landlords, and vendors due to alleged nonpayment. Four Twitter ex-executives have now filed a lawsuit with the California federal court seeking more than $128 million in unpaid severance. We’ve got some exciting news out of DC Studios today! Wendell Pierce (“The Wire,” “Suits”) has joined the cast of James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie. While it kicked around for a while as “Superman: Legacy,” it has been retitled to just “Superman.” Pierce will play editor-in-chief of The Daily Planet, Perry White, who was introduced in the 1940 radio serial. White is boss to Clark Kent (Superman’s secret identity), fellow reporter Lois Lane, and photographer Jimmy Olsen. Ending an almost 10-year hiatus for the actor from the silver screen, Joshua Jackson (“Dr. Death”) is coming back to film. His next project you may ask? In 1984, William Gibson released his debut novel and cyberpunk staple, “Neuromancer.” Apple TV+ has announced a 10-episode limited series adaptation of his groundbreaking work.
