Lots of people use skulls and various severed body parts to decorate for Halloween. While most of these remains are manufactured plastic, one thrift store in Flordia found out it had the real deal. On November 4th, a customer at a thift store in Fort Myers noticed something odd among the Halloween decor. The shopper, who is an anthropologist, realized one of the skulls on the shelf looked a bit too real, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. This prompted the police to come and remove the skull for further investigation. Deputies say the store owner explained that the…

While The Simpson family may not have aged over the show’s 750+ episodes, that doesn’t mean they are incapable of change. In a recent episode of Fox’s ongoing animated series, Homer Simpson said he will no longer strangle his son, Bart. It has been a running joke for Homer to reprimand Bart by squeezing his neck tightly, to the point where his eyes bulge and his tongue sticks out. This gag has frequently been criticized for its brutality over the past three decades. And it seems that “The Simpsons” is finally, officially, doing away with it altogether. In the third…
The live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon” has joined the list of titles having their release dates pushed back. These changes are due to the AMPTP refusing to reach a fair deal with SAG-AFTRA, who’s strike has reached the 113-day mark. Universal and DreamWorks Animation announced the live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” is moving from a March 14th, 2025 release to June 13th, 2025. This is a change that Universal was seemingly expecting given the company had the new date on hold already. This alteration also leaves March 14th, 2025, wide open for other titles. However, the new…
The release of The Beatles’ final song “Now and Then,” has been a rocky road over the past several decades. With the aid of Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson, not only has the song been released, it has a new music video reuniting the band! “Now and Then” began as a home demo from John Lennon, which the other members worked on in the mid-1990s. At the same time, the music pioneers released their only other post-breakup songs “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love.” Unfortunately, a loud hum in Lennon’s original recording made the demo for “Now and Then” completely…
Dark Sky Films just acquired the North American rights to the werewolf thriller “Blackout” at the American Film Market, with Yellow Veil Pictures handling worldwide rights. The upcoming movie is written and directed by independent horror veteran Larry Fessenden. “Blackout” centers around a fine arts painter who is convinced that he is a werewolf wreaking havoc on a small American town under the full moon. The film stars Alex Hurt (“New Amsterdam”) and Addison Timlin (“American Horror Stories”). This acquisition also marks a reunion between Dark Sky, a subsidiary of MPI Media Group, and Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix. The companies…
After 30 years, the legendary Nicolas Cage finally got to play Superman. Back in the 1990s, Cage was all set to portray the Man of Steel for Tim Burton’s “Batman” followup, “Superman Lives.” The project was scrapped, with only a few photos and some test footage of the would-be Kryptonian superhero surviving. We never thought we’d see Cage don the suit again, until Warner Bros. Pictures released “The Flash.” Since the Andy Muschietti-directed “The Flash” is all about the multiverse, it provided the opportunity for Cage to finally play the role, if only briefly. But the actor now contests what appeared…
Studios have been champing at the bit to adapt the wildly popular “Gear of War” video game series into a movie. In November 2022, Netflix threw its hat into the ring, announcing both a live-action film and an adult animated series. During a recent interview, “Gears of War” creator Cliff Bleszinski was asked about how he felt about “Justice League” helmer Zack Snyder directing. While Bleszinski admitted to not being a fan of Snyder’s Netflix original film “Army of the Dead,” he point out that Snyder excels as a director when working with pre-existing IPs. “To be frank, I think…
We are very sorry to report that stuntman Taraja Ramsess along with his daughters Sundari (aged 13), and Fugibo (8 weeks old) have passed away. This tragedy is the result of a two-vehicle accident late Tuesday night near Atlanta, Georgia. The accident also left two of Ramsess’ other children seriously injured. The accident occurred Halloween night when Ramsess’ Ford F-150 pickup crashed into a disabled 18-wheeler on the exit ramp from I-285 onto I-20 eastbound, police said. The two surviving children were thrown from the truck. According to a statement from the DeKalb County Police Department, they are currently in…

While speaking to The Wrap about “John Wick: Chapter 4,” the director was asked about the classic score and if we might hear it in his upcoming reboot. “Yes,” Stahelski said. “Probably in a different way than you think, but hardcore yes.
