This is another one of those times when we REALLY hope a report about possible casting is factual, because we would absolutely LOVE to see Jamie Lee Curtis join Eli Roth‘s “Borderlands” film.

MONDAY JUST GOT WAY F'ING BETTER!
Looking SO forward to joining @eliroth @KevinHart4real and #CateBlanchett in @Lionsgate fun, run and gun and kick some ASS thrill ride!https://t.co/Elt94ycvOy

Curtis is currently in talks to possibly star as Dr. Patricia Tannis, an NPC from Borderlands 2. Curtis is an avid gamer and geek, she’s even cosplayed several times with her children.

Last we heard, Kevin Hart had also joined the cast, and will be playing “Borderlands 2” character Roland,  described as a skilled ex-soldier turned mercenary.

Cate Blanchett will be playing Lilith.

“Chernobyl” scribe Craig Mazin wrote the most recent “Borderlands” script for the Lionsgate release, and that’s about all we know at this point.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
