Mary Anne Butler
Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now NerdBot as News Editor. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We’ve spoken a little about the great Spooky Season classic “Hocus Pocus” this year- clearly, this is a lie, as we’ve YELLED ABOUT IT A LOT IN 2020. But, just in case you missed it previously, we need to tell you about Bette Middler‘s upcoming New York Restoration Project virtual event happening at the end of the month.

The Devine Ms. M is reuniting with her “Hocus Pocus” sisters Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy on October 30th for a one-time-only event hosted by Elvira Mistress of the dark.

“In Search of the Sanderson Sisters” event will also feature Glenn Close, Billy Eichner, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, John Stamos, Meryl Streep, Billy Crystal, Samantha Diaz, Todrick Hall, Anjelah Johnson, Alex Moffat, Martin Short, Sarah Silverman, Sophie von Haselberg, Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Doug Jones and surprise guests!

You can order your ticket for the hour-long stream on NYRP’s website here.

Today is actually the last day you can order some of the food items, which include things like eye cookies, book pops, and an Oracle appetizer set.
